Brilliant support for ankle fracture
Having fractured my ankle I was sent home from hospital with absolutely no support and advice my foot elevated and ankle would take 6-12 weeks to heal. Obviously impractical advice and whilst I could walk very carefully about the house I couldn't manage outdoors for more than a few metres and very wary of people catching my ankle, tripping on uneven pavements etc. And if foot wasn't kept supported or elevated it quickly became swollen and uncomfortable. I searched quite extensively and eventually settled on this boot, based on it being "lightweight", curved, rocker sole and anti-slip. I've found it invaluable. Very comfortable and supportive and allowed me to get out and about, thus helping ankle to heal with gentle exercise and putting minimal pressure through it. Wore in the house at times when ankle was particularly uncomfortable and gave immediate comfort and support. Gradually built up distance outdoors and given confidence in crowded places. Managed to wear it for around 8 hours, with regular breaks but it does start to feel heavy and get tiring, and after 4 weeks I'm getting pretty fed up of it but it's been a life saver. Air pump on the side which has worked well and really stabilises the ankle, does slowly deflate if walking a lot but easy enough to pump back up. Only caution is re size. I'm a UK 4.5 ladies and foot measured 9.4inches, so ordered a size small. Was just about the right size but couldn't raise toe guard as toes overhung slightly. Anything above a size 4 I'd recommend sizing up to a medium.

The best thing I've ever bought
This boot has been amazing. It's easy to use and adjust to your required size. It helps so much with mobility, function and getting around in general. I sprained my ligaments and tendons and the plastic split provided by the hospital was compressing the swelling too much and pretty useless to he honest. As you can adjust the compression of this boot it adjusts to the different stages of healing. I'm currently 5 weeks in, still swollen ankle and bruising. Without this boot I would not be able to walk anywhere even from one end of the house to the other. I highly recommend this to anyone who has had an ankle injury it will be the best thing you ever invest in. The package contains x2 red packets that include extra metal fittings and also X2 velcro patches. I'm female size 7 and the boot is true to size. Make sure when you put the boot on you push your heel towards the back of the boot with your foot completely flat on the floor and at no angle. Also do up the velcro straps starting from the bottom not top, once you've done all 3 adjust again for a better fit. The removable plate that protects the front of your foot make sure it's linned up properly it shouldn't go too far back and not to far forward. I line mine up with the base section that supports the toes. It all naturally lines up to be honest as it's so well made. I have a narrow foot so the extra velcro patches came in handy. I added them on the end of the velcro on the boot and pressed firmly so it doesn't come off. It's a very strong velcro and stays put. The extra velcro allows me to pull the strap tighter and it sticks. Without it the two additional sections of velcro it does not stick tight enough for me. If you have a standard foot you'll have no problems and as I mentioned they provide additional velcro anyway. The air part I mainly used when my ankle was huge with swelling. After that I had a small amount of air and the boot itself was so supportive I found it really comfortable. I'm confident you won't be disappointed with this item and it will help you move around and aid your recovery.

Life saver! Fast delivery
This was a life saver. I was in London on vacation and one day 1 of the vacation I fell and did a horrible sprain of my ankle. It was really bad! I wasn't able to find an "tensor" style bandages, so a person at my hotel suggested ordering from Amazon. I am so thankful that I did! It arrived the very next day - less than 24 hours after ordering. My ankle and foot were very swollen and using the air pockets to inflate/deflate was awesome comfort wise. (This was also extremely handy for my 10+ hrs on the flight back to Canada. I couldn't wear a compression stocking but this worked so well to help with swelling.) The boot itself was perfect for an ankle injury and was shorter than other air casts that i have used. I recommend that you gaze over the instruction pamphlet so you know how to use the "pump" for the air pockets. It was easy to use, and made walking so much easier and I felt more comfortable. I didn't walk long distances, but I could walk without crutches. 100% recommend! Thank you so much for saving my vacation to London!

Good quality easy to use and is comfortable
The boot is very comfortable inside however I found after more than 3 hours my foot started to ache. ( this was probably just down to my injury) however the boot is very simple to use it does take a bit of effort to pump up the air bags once they've been deflated. I found it best to get someone to do it for me once the boot was on my foot. Overall I would definitely recommend it may seem expensive but it's definitely worth keeping even after your injury has gone. As it's very easy to do the injury again. And you'll be glad you've got the boot there.

Size totally unsuitable
Ordered largest size which should fit a size 10/11 shoe size but my toes poked out by 3 inches. Very poor fit.

Best boot I've had. Ish.
Review update. After not even 2 weeks of use the boot is no longer holding air. I've now redamaged my ligaments and require the boot again but it will not hold air and I can't find why. I have no idea how to contact the seller to ask what could be the issue either. So I've changed my review to 3 stars because it broke after 2 weeks. Super easy to put on! Pumping up was awkward at first but once I got the hang of it super easy. Only had to pump it back up once in 8 hours. Very light weight and comfy. This is by far the best boot I've had for torn ligament recovery. I'm a UK 5.5 and the small fits perfectly.

Trust the size guide and position your foot at the very back of the boot
I bought this while waiting for an appointment at the fracture clinic after breaking my ankle. The boot is very sturdy and provides good support and protection. When reading reviews to decide on the sizing I was really confused as some reviews suggested the size guide is wrong but it's actually spot on. I am a size 5 so chose the boot recommended for my size. When I first put it on I was worried that it was too small as my toes seemed to hang over the front, however I did not have my heel at the very back of the boot. Once I'd (gingerly, because of the pain) repositioned my foot, the boot was a perfect fit and felt very secure. I would definitely recommend this if you need a boot. Together with some crutches, it's given me more confidence to be on my feet again in the house and when I've had to go out for appointments etc.

Very comfortable
I was very appreciative to receive this the day after I had seriously injured my leg. It has been easy to adjust. The only thing I don’t like is that the button is on the inside as I use it for the left foot and there is no choice for left or right. However that is a small problem compared to the amount of foot support and comfort the boot gives me. The boot deflates and re-inflates very easily. I haven’t yet had any problem with it voluntarily deflating but anything that requires pumping up eventually would need to be re inflated. I am a size 6 and the medium fits well with space at the end which is a good thing. However please be warned. I am going to find alternative suppliers rather than go through Amazon. On two occasions one week apart I’ve had the same delivery driver.the first time he rang the bell and I was on crutches so struggled to the door to answer it.I saw a van parked on the track but saw no one. I hobbled along to the side of my house and saw a man coming back through my garden gate. I turned around and went back to my front door and just got to the step when he caught up with me. I managed to get into my hallway by moving backwards with the crutches and he was trying to push me inside and if it hadn’t been for the large bag containing the boot I think he could have pushed me over as he was so close trying to press against me. I grabbed the bag and closed the door, locking it. The same thing happened the following Sunday but this time my daughter was at home. He tried to do the same again but then heard my daughter and quickly stepped back handing me the parcel. I’ve tried to get in touch with customer service but it’s a joke. I wanted to complain about the driver’s intrusive behaviour but there is no way to do this. If it hadn’t been for me fracturing my foot it wouldn’t have been necessary to order anything at all that required weekend delivery. The second time it was for a book and it was the last one so I ordered it. I was shocked to see it was the same driver as we don’t usually have the same driver twice. If anyone has any suggestions how I can get Amazons attention to this please let me know

Quality Materials but needs a few improvements
Firstly I was happy that it was delivered incredibly fast. I ordered 9am and was delivered 9am the next day. This was important as I really needed the boot. The materials are all high quality & more attractive design than most. The piece over the foot is comfortable as I have a metatarsal stress fracture & was my main concern. Is much lighter than the bulky ugly ones from hospital. Plenty of perforations in the foam so I expect it to breathe well & foam is removable for washing. Only needs a few improvements. 1) you have to pump what feels like a thousand times to even notice if the supports are inflating (and nothing to stop you deflating them if your leg bumps the deflation button). 2) the front of the boots toe on the bottom is not curved enough so when you walk, at the middle of your stride, you leg comes to an abrupt halt & you have to pick your leg up so you can’t make a full stride only half steps. Sideways movement is well supported but because of that abrupt stop to my step my shin is able to flex in the boot as much as an inch even with the Velcro strap pulled as tight as possible (that’s also because the strap design is lower than should be because of the location of the pump. Would be better if strap was higher and pump below it). So I wouldn’t suggest it if you need total ankle isolation. Best for foot injuries as the top plate offers protection. Good if you need comfortable support. But if you plan on doing lots of walking, maybe get something where the bottom is a bit more curved to aid more natural walking. Maybe for first 3 weeks of fracture & swap to a more walkable boot for the next 3 to 5 weeks, whatever your fracture plan is. Heel is curved enough to start your stride.

100% Recommend
I have tried other walking boots, all them having had one thing in common: they were quite heavy.....it's bad enough having a fractured foot ,but to have to walk in heaviness just put unneeded pressure that did not benefit me. So I did my research and found this boot and thought I'd give it a go, and I have to say,it's not only very well cushioned and comfortable,it's also true to size ,works properly ,and is lightweight!I only recently bought it but I've already been feeling great improvement, and thus I'm very appreciative of this air walking boot.I want to also add that for me, the air cast feature worked great and compresses my for exactly how is needed :)
