What I liked: the powder is high quality. I put it in the same category as Madison Reed.What I didn't like:1. The powder is a warmer color; a neutral or cool tone would be better for me. No stars off. I think knowing it is warm toned will help you with your decision.2. The brush quality is poor. Every day I have to pull more and more hairs out of it because they come loose and stick out, preventing me from loading with powder and getting a good application.3. Maybe its just me but it took me forever to figure out how to open the compact. Look at the back of the compact, there's an open space. You're going to press down on the top of the compact so that pivots through the hole. Don't lift anywhere. It's a press. No stars off, just something you should know.4. The pencil doesn't allow me to get a feathery application so it looks too obvious if I use it where I need it which is the front part of my scalp. Maybe the pencil I received is old or was heat damaged? It arrived in very cool weather but it could have been damaged in storage.I'm sticking with Madison Reed because they have a color that works better for me. This Joan Rivers powder is good but I didn't care for the warm color. I have been using this product for YEARS. It takes minutes to apply and will last until you wash your hair. It does not come off on your clothes or pillowcase, etc. If you are intentionally rubbing your scalp with your fingertips, you will see some transfer onto your fingers, but doing that is easy to avoid. If you have some thinning areas, or just want the look of overall fullness....this will do it! People tell me 'oh you have such great hair!'....no I don't!!! It's this product. One compact lasts a long long time.

Does it’s job. But kinda smells like an old lady. Kinda how you’d expect Joan Rivers to smell.

I originally started using this after trying the sprinkle on type. This product was much better but also much more expensive. My neighbor recommended SEVICH which has really been a game changer for me. Sorry I didn't find out about SEVICH first.

The touch up stick broke used on hair to cover up.
