Does exactly what you want it to, can open switches and has a string attached to put it on a keychain or similar. I absolutely love the little magnets that hold it together, too. Worth the few bucks to get one of these if you plan on building a keyboard.

I was so infuriated by someone's incorrect Amazon review of this incredibly simple tool, that I felt the need to buy it just to try and set the universe back in alignment. Contrary to another review, it works perfectly on Kailh BOX switches. Imagine going so far as to write an entire negative review, arranging everything, photographing the product, even printing custom labels for said review, and not once during that whole process trying it right-side-up! The reviewer had the switch upside down! I'm baffled how someone could need instructions for this thing, it is a great simple tool that does its job. Even though this was a hate-purchase, it worked so well it freed me from the prison of anguish in my soul. It works great for Kailh Box and classic cherry. See video for example.

Writing this review for anyone that wants to lube AKKO switches. I'm not sure how different all their switches are but from what I can tell they are all the same. I used Creamy Yellow pros AKKO switches and this worked perfectly! Was a bit weary of this separator due to other reviews but I had a great time. It didn't feel like it was hard to open the switches, it just took a moment to get used to. Please review what AKKO switches you're getting before buying this but I think this was a win in my book and I'll be using it for future projects!
