GAC 800 by GOLDEN, 128 fl. oz. Jug, Professional Acrylic Medium, Transparent

I have been using Golden products for years and consider this a very good brand. The GAC 800 has been a very important medium for some of my art projects. I love this brand and would recommend their products. You get what you pay for with this medium.

No more cracks in the artwork. I ALWAYS use GAC 800 in all my acrylic paint mixes. I won't let myself run out of this product. The gac protects all my artwork from cracking when the paint is thick as it dries. Two parts Gac to 8 parts acrylic paint and then double the volume with your choice of pouring mediums when you doing paint pouring. I used to order from a different vendor online and when I double checked Amazon again, I couldn't believe Amazon was exactly the same price! I was shocked! This is a great deal on this. I had a master pouring medium made up with GAC 800 in it and just made some more up in a large quantity so I can just keep adding it to a squeeze bottle and be on my way each time without having to remix each time. Whether it be a small pour or a large pour. I did notice that when I was pouring it into my smaller bottles that there was some clumps. I always drain my glue AND my floetrol, so it had to have come from the GAC. I will give that as my advice is to strain it as well. I poured it all back into a large container and strained it and as good as new. Then I strained some of the GAC to see if it did indeed have some "boogers" in it like the floetrol does get at times, and sure enough, it is prone to that as well. So I am not sure if it is because it may have sat on a shelf for a long period or what, but I would for sure invest in a $ store strainer and get those little dodads out of there BEFORE they end up in your paintings. Just a word of friendly advice. Learn from my experience. Other than that, I didn't see a problem with the product at all.

Great product

Arrived quicker than promised. Really reduces crazing well. Amazon has the larger quantity available which is hard to find in art stores. Gave 4 stars instead of 5 for price. It is a little expensive, but it is an excellent product in my opinion.

I mix GAC 800 with my acrylic paint when making my own pour paint. It mixes fine with other mediums and water - it prevents paint cracking during the drying process. GAC 800 is a staple that I won’t run out of in my art studio.
