Good thermometer but only marked in C
I was a little annoyed to discover that there are no F scale markings on this thermometer. I'm not docking it any stars, because that's my dumb fault and not the thermometer's. The product description didn't claim it had F markings. But if you want F markings (and you should because C is stupid), find another unit. But the thermometer is sturdy and accurate.

Seems to be accurate +-1 degree and a good quality thermometer so I won't give it a bad rating but I don't use it anymore because it is too slow for my needs and I wasn't paying attention to the fact that it reads is C and I really wanted F. Totally my fault. Anyway, I decided to get a digital thermometer because I wanted quicker temp readings, again not the fault of the thermometer. The item was packaged well and shipped quickly. Arrived in 2 days, undamaged.

A good partial immersion thermometer.
This appears to be a good thermometer. Very well packaged and directions in 6 languages. It has a protective rubber collar and easy to read lines and numbers. It's partial immersion line is approximately an inch & a half from the tip of the bulb. Variances are given in the directions, get your magnifying glass. Claims to meet several lab stds. I will accept their claim unless/until it proves otherwise. Actually, I don't expect a problem.

Make sure you get the right one
When I opened the package it read 40, which is odd because it’s snowing and should read close to 0C. Holding in my hand pushed it to 80, which is really weird. Awe nuts, it’s reading F instead of C. Guess I’ll be ordering the right one

Inaccurate.
A bit disappointed. I was doing some experiments that required pretty precise temps and this product just didn't work out as it should have. I submerged in ice water so I could calibrate my measurements and it never reached 32F. As with boiling water 212F was not achieved either. It would make sense if the differences fell on the same end of the spectrum. Not getting low enough and not getting high enough by varying degrees - there's not a whole lot of sense you can make out of that, other than it just being inaccurate.

A little problem with this one
Well is is a economy product, but--- Found it to be off 1.0 degree Centigrade all the way from ice point up the scale. I guess if you knew that you could subtract exactly 1 degree and it would be accurate, as it is consistent.Rather disappointed as that is roughly 2 degrees F, and that is quite a large error for any thermometer, particularly with such a nice large scale.Good points: large scale, well made, and economical. Don't know if this is a single unit problem or whether they would all be that far off. I am tempted (considering the price) to buy another one just to satisfy my curiosity.
