Island Creator Kit (Poptropica) Paperback – August 1, 2013

My daughter loves playing on Poptropica, and now that they have a contest going to make your own island, she's very excited to put her art skills to use designing an adventure for the game. Could she have done it without the book? Yes. But this book walks her through the process step by step and will help ensure she draws and writes everything to make her island a success. There is drawing space in the book, with templates for the characters, and examples of what the game designers think about at each step of the process. And it's written at a level appropriate for the kids who play this game; my daughter is 11, and not a great reader, but she read this cover to cover in one evening.

Daughter and I where immediately drawing new Islands and new Island Creatures in unbelievable new worlds. Thanks, Mitch. Such awesome work on a great Island Creator Kit and look forward to new creation kits to expand her Series of new worlds and creatures.

The item is exactly what I was expecting and my son loves it! He is hoping to win the Create your own Island contest on Poptropica.

My son loves Poptropica, but I think the level of creativity on this project was too much for a 6 year old. He didn't get past page 1.

I would say unless you're going to sit with child , its good for 10 years plus. It guides to be creative. good

My son loves this book....it really showes how the islands are created,and how he can create his own...mabye his island will be next :)

Don't be fooled into thinking you can enter the competition to design your own island as it is only open to those that live in the US,this is only made clear in the small print on back of entry envelope
