Review: Works great for bugs not even listed. - I rarely write reviews, but this product surprised me. I bought the first one had a local hardware store just because I wanted to buy something from them. I plugged it in just to see if it worked when we had a house fly inside. It didn't catch the house fly, but what it did catch was an eye opener - dozens of bugs we didn't even know we had. Most were very small flies, maybe fruit flies that we hadn't even seen. But there were also bugs that we didn't recognize that upon looking them up we found that they were smokey brown cockroach nymphs (which again, we had never seen in the house). We called pest control, but also ordered three more on desertcart.

All I knew is that it seemed that there was something that was doing a "drive-by-bite", and it was so fast that I could never see it, hence I could never catch it. I recently killed a couple of gnats in the master bath, something I hadn't seen in the first 2 years we first purchased this home, so I feel like this problem is new. I started looking into how to fix the situation, and I knew right away that I was not interested in creating a whole bunch of contraptions of apple cider vinegar with sweeteners, etc, to catch these. I didn't want jars of liquid all over my house. So, as usual, I knew someone on desertcart had figured out an easier way, and here we are! Now, I definitely need to figure out the root cause, but in the meantime, the solution offered by the Safer Home gnat/fly trap is fantastic. At first, it seemed to be slow going, but within a half hour, one gnat was already on the card. I thought, well, that was probably the one who had been continuously biting my feet and legs! Later, I saw another stuck on the card and then didn't see much action for a couple of days. Days later there were a couple more...and more! I was thinking, yes, yes, invite all of your friends and family! And it seems that they did. Within 2 weeks or so, the card was nearly covered! If one is running along the edge, I will help him meet his fate sooner, and if not, he will eventually stick to the card with everyone else. What I do notice though is that in the afternoon one gnat (or two?) wanders into the office where I am working after I've closed the light-blocking curtains to block the heat and sun. (I guess they are drawn in by the lamp?) So, now I am wondering if I should put another Safer Home trap right on my desk, or by my legs because all of the drive-by-biting makes it difficult to concentrate on what I'm working on. For anyone who says "it didn't work" may need a bit more patience, or they have too much light in the place where the night light is placed. I placed mine in the master bath, and it's pretty dark in there, but there's no door to the main portion of the bath (only where the toilet is). I thought that the light from the gigantic sliding glass windows in the office would affect how the product worked, but it hasn't. In other words, too much light coming in from elsewhere wouldn't draw the gnats to the UV light in the bath, but this must not be the case for my master bath. I am so thankful for this product, and I recommend it! P.S. I have attached 2 pictures of what the trap looks like in the master bath with a bit of light filtering in from the big windows in the office. It seems that if you can get your space at least this dark, this product will do wonders for your space - and your ability to concentrate while working!!

**Q: How long does the uv led light last, does it burn out after one month like some reviews state?**
A: I should've taken a picture of the card completely full of gnats after just 12 hours!!!  I bought 3 last year and have used them continuously without having to replace the light.  Amazing how it even traps big mosquitoes and flies.

**Q: Does it come with just one sticky board?**
A: It comes with 2 sticky boards.

**Q: Does the light on the unit have an expiration date? ON the Zevo unit it is said to last about 45 days.**
A: It doesnt say on the unit but it looks like it's an LED type of light, therefore i would expect the light to last up to several years.  But i am not certain.  It doesnt have an expiration note on the unit.

**Q: Has anyone had success with this or any other for large house flies?**
A: I bought a 30 pack of window fly traps on Amazon and caught over 300 flies within a few days. I was amazed our house had that many flies!

I didn't know that I had so many gnats (and perhaps other tiny flies?) in the master bathroom and my office. All I knew is that it seemed that there was something that was doing a "drive-by-bite", and it was so fast that I could never see it, hence I could never catch it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fabulous flying insect trapper!!

I know how helpful pictures are for believability, so I’ll attach one! Don’t judge me, I had no idea what these were for the first couples of weeks. So yes they overran my house for a bit. But that is no longer! We are now free from the clutches of these nasty little 💩’s. I recently moved to Florida, and never in my life had I experienced so many (what I thought were gnats - I’m still unsure what the hell they actually are 😂). For the life of me I couldn’t figure out where the swarms of these pesky little things were coming from. I am originally from up north, where the only things that resemble them that we get are fruit flies. I couldn’t figure out why they were everywhere when none of my fruit was rotten or even remotely bad. Until I did some googling and found out these little demons are called Drain Flies. They live and breed in your drain, lay eggs and come out in SWARMS. I tried every remedy to kill them off. I cleaned my drains, I poured all kinds of chemicals down there. I googled every which way to kill their eggs, catch them. Tried the whole apple cider vinegar, water and soap trick. Where the apple cider vinegar is supposed to attract them, and the surface tension of the soap is supposed to get them stuck and they sink into the water below….noooope! Nothing worked. I’d still see them flying all over the place in my peripheral vision, and to top it off I now had a nasty little vinegar cup hidden in my corner smelling like dooky. I, like every other rational person, ran to Amazon for a solution. And I found LOTS of them. My first go to was going to be that light and fan thing, where the light attracts them and the fan supposedly sucks them in to their demise. I really didn’t care which one I purchased, as long as it worked. I saw the reviews and pictures of this one and figured I’d give it a go, and if this one didn’t work, I’d try the other one I mentioned. Day 1, the first few hours, it caught absolutely nothing. And I thought “greaaat. This thing isn’t going to catch anything and I’m gong to have to deal with this pests for another few days while I wait on another order” Day 2. I woke up, not expecting to find anything, and lo and behold, there were 10-15 flies on it. My prayers had been answered! Day 3. Not going to lie, I forgot I had it plugged in Day 4. I checked again, and this is what I found. The picture attached. Absolutely gross 🤢. Don’t ask, I have no idea how all these nasty little creatures lived in my sink without my knowledge. I must just be that blissfully unaware. I thought I only had a few…clearly I was wrong I’m on like Day 10 now. I waited awhile because I wanted to make sure it continued to work before posting this review. I haven’t seen another fly / gnat besides in the trap, since Day 4, nearly a week ago. Not one. However, the trap is still lit up, and still as sticky as it was on day 1. There is a faint blue glow, it’s a pretty pleasant. It’s just like a night light. It makes 0 noise whatsoever. It’s SO easy to remove and replace the sticky pad. You pull the stick piece up out of the part that attaches into the wall, and slide a new one in. So simple, yet so effective. If you’ve had these nasty little critters flying around your home for far too long now, try it. You won’t regret it. If it doesn’t work in the first spot you put it, move it around. These things supposedly come out of the drains, yet for some reason it catches far more in my bedroom outside the bathroom. So find what works for you. Also, it turns sideways if need be. So if you have a sideways plug, you can still plug it in and swivel it so it’s face up! I hope this review helps some of you choose this, and rid your life of these nasty little buggers!!
