12pcs/lot 11mmx190mm DIY Hot Melt Glue Sticks Black Color for Hot Melt Gun Car Audio Craft General Purpose 1 (12PCS)

I got this hot glue while I was working on a hot-glue sculpture (not an ideal medium) but I was having a hard time seeing the edges of the glue (and I wanted the final result to be black). This worked perfect for my needs. The black pigment can start to separate out and kinda “burn” if you leave the hot glue gun on without using it/pushing more glue through. But just making a little pile of the “burnt” glue until it’s all out is enough to fix it, or simply turning off your glue gun when you’re not using it, so it’s not that big of an issue for me.

It’s hard to be excited about glue sticks, but I was excited when I found them in black. My main concern was with the quality of the adhesion, but the black glue sticks wonderfully. Once melted the color remains pure black and doesn’t have any transparency. I use these mostly for crafts when I don’t want glue to show.

Super strong smell on this stuff but works good!

We bought these to help a friend mount solar powered lights to her front steps which are sort of a chunky Terrazzo with some moss growing on it. I wasn't sure how well it'd work, and it took us several tries to figure out how much glue to use and how long to hold it before it cools and actually sticks (about a minute). Once we figured it out, we were able to knock out all 8 of the lights in short order. Since the lights were all black, the black color of the sticks helped hide the adhesive.Even though it mentions the size on the ad, I was disappointed expecting 10" sticks, but they're really more like 6", but not something to ding them on. I'd probably buy them again.

I didn't even know this was available in black! So nice and easy to use. NOTE: If you are switching from clear to black, or the other way, be aware that it will take nearly a full stick to clear all the color out of the glue gun! But in the end, a black glue end is great!

Worked perfect! We used it to simulate an oil spill. It melted perfectly and stayed stuck even with all the wear and tear of the trucks running over it at the hobby shop.

These are at least 30% smaller than standard sized Heavy Duty Glue Sticks, which is fine but noteworthy to those who need to know that. They are just ever so slightly smaller in diameter than Standard as well. It is a trivial amount, but still noteworthy because it could affect feed grip for whatever glue gun you're using. I can't speak as to strength yet, but I thought this size info could be useful to someone.
