Amazing Set, Just wished it had more pieces!!
This is a great quality set at an excellent price. I highly recommend anyone looking for measuring spoons to buy this set.Pros:- They look really nice.- Great quality stainless steel. I have no concerns with them bending whatsoever.- Pieces have a nice weight to them.- The shape of the spoon is perfect for measuring, even at the smallest 1/4 tsp size.- Dishwasher safe. I washed them a couple of times now with now problems.Cons:- The ring the spoons came with didn't clamp on properly, but not a problem for me since I don't use the ring. The measuring cups i bought had the same ring and that one was fine. So maybe it was just a faulty ring on mine.- I wish it was a 6 pc. i wouldn't mind paying extra for the 1/8th tsp and 1/2 tbsOverall I am very happy with my purchase. I don't see how anyone wouldn't like this set unless the cons i mentioned are deal breakers for you.

The best ever
Although I never got them because they were held at the post office and they can't find it, I have used these a lot while living with my in-laws. They are heavy duty and my go to for measuring spoons. I found these and ordered them. Unfortunately I can't find them online anymore and mine never made it to me. I hope this or any other company can get some more in. I'd highly recommend them if you can find them.

Accurate High Quality d Spoons
The following review was written on Apirl 30, 2009, but for some reaons Amazon broke the link between the product and the review, and was unable to link them back. Because many people find the original review helpful, it is reposted here. Hope it will be helpful to you as it was helpful to them:The AMCO Advanced measuring cups and spoons are great. They are made with high quality thick 18/10 stainless steel. The steel is more than 1 mm thick, so they are heavy and sturdy. Each cup or spoon is made from a single-piece steel (no weld nor seam), so it is very easy to clean - a simply wipe will do. The size/volume markings are engraved into the metal, so they will not fade. I have uploaded a picture of a 1-cup for customer image. These tools should last you a lifetime.Comparing to typical measuring cups, these cups are shorter and wider, which allow them to balance nicely on a flat surface. The ends of the spoon handles are bended downward, so the spoons can sit nicely on a flat surface. This comes handy from time to time, more so for cooking than baking - in my experience.I feel there is a need to address some of the negative reviews here. While I agree with many of them, I do not experience some of the more detrimental ones.I find my cups and spoons to be reasonably accurate. I used a graduating cylinder to measure the 1 cup because its filled weight exceeds the limit of the analytical balance. For the 1 cup which should equal to 236mL, I measured a volume of ~222mL. This is a -6% deviation. For the rest of the cups and spoons, I filled them with water and poured the water into a container for weight measurement. The weight is then converted back to volume via "1 gram of water = 1 mL of water". (These measurements were acquired from an analytical scale in a laboratory. These analytical scales are routinely calibrated and are more accurate than the typical kitchen scales.)For the ½ cup (118mL), I measured a volume of 111.5mL (a -6% deviation). For the 1/3 cup (79mL), I measured 84.8mL (+7%).For the ¼ cup (59mL), I measured 61.8mL (+5%).For the 1 tablespoon (15 mL), I measured 14.0mL (-7%).For the 1 teaspoon (5mL), I measured three times and the averaged volume is 4.7mL (-6%).For the ½ teaspoon (2.5mL), I measured 2.5mL (0%).For the ¼ teaspoon (1.25mL), I measured 1.4mL (+12%).Specifically, the 1 teaspoon measurement was repeated three times. The individual results were: 5.2mL, 4.5mL, and 4.3mL. This illustrates the variability introduced by a user -- human error. These cups and spoons appear to be adequate for ~10% accuracy.I find the cups and spoons have smooth surface, and did not find any rough edge or surface as mentioned by other reviewers. Now I will confirm some of the negative reviews. Yes, these cups and spoons are heavier than any I have seen. They are about 2-3 times heavier. Due to the fact that the cups are wider, you may also have difficulty to get them into containers with small opening. This is especially so for the 1-cup, which is 3-7/8 inches wide (I have upload a customer picture of it). Because the cups are shorter and wider, the potential for measurement error is higher. Imagine you have a tall bottle and a flat bowl. If you are 1 cm off from filling up the tall bottle, the relative error will be minor. However, if you are 1 cm off from filling up the flat bowl, the relative error will be large. Since these cups are about ½ the height of other cups, the potential human error is about 2-fold higher. One may say, these cups and spoons are technically accurate, but the potential human error is magnified.*Update on Jun 26, 2010* Everything is working fine. Nothing is broken.

Are they worth it? Yes!
You may be wondering, as I was, if it's even necessary to review measuring spoons. I mean, at the end of the day, they're just spoons used for measuring things so... What could possibly make them (or any similar product) even worth the time it takes to write a review, much less make them worthy of 5 stars? For me, 3 things:1) Quality construction. Yes, they are most likely “stamped" from sheet metal but the quality of these is head-and-shoulders above the ones you might find in the “dorm supply" area of Wal-Mart. These things are made from heavy duty stainless steel that is nearly 1/8" thick!2) Attention-to-detail. As more and more things are made in China, it seems like quality has generally taken a backseat to the “lowest price at any cost" mentality in manufacturing. For those of us that are willing to pay a little more to regain that lost quality, it's very refreshing to find a product like this. All of the potential rough/sharp areas created during the stamping process have been thoughtfully dispatched and replaced with smooth edges. The bowl area of each spoon has been polished to a mirror-like shine and the label (showing measurement) on each handle looks as if it were laser engraved!3) Durability. I chose to wait until I had used these for a while before posting this review because, to me, durability is the most important factor in any kitchen-related purchase and I wanted to really put them through their paces prior to posting this review. I now feel as though I've done just that. These have been hand-washed, run through the dishwasher, left sitting in a sink full of dirty dishwater for a couple of days, and one of them was missing for a while... found when the garbage disposal was turned on! How have they handled the rigors of our busy and occasionally neglectful kitchen? In a word. Beautifully! Yes, even the one in the disposal. It came out seemingly unscathed! These things are the epitome of durable.Would I buy them again? Absolutely. Should you buy them? They should already be in your cart!

High Quality Item
These spoons have the most commonly used measurements. They are of superior quality. The quality was such a nice surprise when we have all gotten use to inferior quality. A truly beautiful set of measuring spoons.

these measure up!
These are sturdy! I have 4 or 5 sets of measuring spoons now, took a chance ordering these but didn't expect much joy. Very pleased! I think you could scoop concrete with them. I hate it when spoons bend like a Dali painting if you try to scoop up so much as a feather. or break. These have heft, nice rounded bowls and comfortable, wide handles. Will be ordering other products from the company and......and.....made in US of A! I make a conscious decision about products' origins.

Very happy with these
Exactly what I was looking for. Each spoon is made from a single, solid and thick piece of steel. Appear to be very durable and high quality. Little wide than most other measuring spoons but not wildly so, so very useable. I worked in kitchens for a long time and function and durability for me are big, and these meet that. Very happy with these.

Where I was not so happy with the measuring cups I bought along with these
Where I was not so happy with the measuring cups I bought along with these, I was very happy with the measuring spoons. They are of really good quality construction, heavy, solid, great looking, and balance on the counter top as stated.

Love how solid these are...
In a previous review, someone mentioned how heavy these are. So true! They are a high quality and feel like they could last a lifetime. My only complaint is that I wish there were more than four sizes of spoons. (A half tablespoon would have been awesome.) But beyond that, this is a really great set.
