Xenogears: Ost

I enjoyed every song on this soundtrack. I highly recommend this for fans of the game but also if you just enjoy hearing good music because this album has plenty of it.

If I could give this a million stars, I would. Totally worth the money. I listened to it while walking and it is gorgeous music. I was already a fan of Mitsuda's work from the Chrono series and after hearing a few Xenogears songs on Pandora, I knew this was next on my playlist. Beautiful work. You might have an issue getting the track names on iTunes, as Gracenote didn't recognize the tracks (since it's in Japanese), but I didn't mind inputting the track names (you can get these on Wikipedia). A must-have.

As far as game soundtracks go I've always been impressed with Xenogears but I was not expecting the variety of songs this cd came with. Very good selection, nearly everysong on the game was on it, not just the ten most popular. I suggest this cd to anyone that likes gaming music along with the Cried: Xenogears arrangement cd.

Great music for a great game, if you played the game the soundtrack is a must.

Jewel case was cracked but both CDs are perfect! The soundtrack itself is masterfully composed, as should be expected of Yasunori Mitsuda. If you are a fan of the Xenoseries, I recommend making this OST a part of your collection.

ゼノギアス、大好きなゲームです。音楽も良くて、何十年も前ですが、当事、ピアノの楽譜も買って家で弾くぐらいはまりました。時を経て(笑)また久しぶりに聴きたくなって買いました。懐かしい、コレコレ！って感じ。ピアノの楽譜も出してきて一緒に弾けました。あーゲームやりたくなってきたなぁ。

ゼノギアスはPS1のソフトですが、良い曲が多く、結婚式の選曲の中に１曲選択しました。ゲームミュージックですが、多分誰にもゲームの曲だということはわからなかったと思います。他の曲を聞いていても当時の遊んでいた時のことを思い出して懐かしくなります。

ゲームの発売がリアルタイムだった私には 正直、サウンドトラックが今でも買えたのか!? ってのが驚きでした。当時、貧乏だったガキでなによりゲームの入手が優先でBGM集なんて考えられませんでしたが、音楽がとても印象的であったことは疑いもありません! 浅知恵でゲーム機とMDを繋ぎミュージックモードで録音するなど とてもお気に入りでした。(当時、曲目がわからなかったのが残念でした)そして、このAmazonさんのオススメで偶然にもまだ新品が買えることを知り、大人力バクハツです!!ゲーム本編ではけっこう急ぎ足だったり、シナリオ進行の関係でミュージックモードでは聴けないBGMなどもありましたが、このサウンドトラックで聴くことによりすべてのシーンを観想できることがとても感動です。特にプロモーションCMなどで使用された曲なんか一番思い入れが沸き上がってきました!曲順の関係で びっくりするほどの曲調が変化してリラックスしていると突然 目が醒めたりします ゲーム内容を熟知している方でも次曲をしっかり気持ちしておくといいかと思います。(むしろワクワク・ドキドキするかも!)PS2世代の方々には次項作のタイトル(ゼノサーガ)との曲調などの共通のイメージで聴かれても問題ないことでしょう。このサウンドトラックからゲームの方に興味を持たれた方には、ゼノギアスのゲームの方は 新型PS2では一部挙動不具合があるので現在はPS3アーカイブで楽しむのが方法の一つになっています。(もちろんPS1でセルCDでも良し)90年代ゲーム最盛期の名作関連としてこのCDはとても記憶に残ることは間違いないと私は信じます。

ギアスの世界はよく作りこまれてますが、その世界にぴったりくる音楽たちもまた、ギアスを今だ名作に位置付けされる理由の1つなのでしょう。ディスク2枚に盛り込まれた、音楽たちは、初めてギアスをプレイしたときの思いを思い起こさせてくれると共に、ギアスの素晴らしさを感じさせてくれます。一番好きなのは、風が呼ぶ、蒼穹のシェバト(Disc2の5曲目)です。なんといっても、ゲーム中でも難所なのかは知らないですが、アクション操作の難しい塔を登りきって、視界が開けた時の、この音楽・・・また、天空を翔ける都市にふさわしい、クリアな音質・・・他の曲も甲乙つけがたい名曲揃いです！！
