I previously had a budget chemical limescale filter (still much more expensive than this item) which eventually was left for too long and clogged up, and so did the pipe connecting the filter and the electric shower. I was highly skeptical about the mechanism behind the magnetic limescale protection. Supposedly, the limescale is not removed but stays suspended in water, so it just does not stick to the pipes. However, I decided to buy this anyway as it fitted the gap left by the filter and was quite cheap. Few months on, the electric shower seems fine and even the shower head does not clog up as much.

Es perfectamente inutil.
Les he mandado unas cuantas misivas y no se dan por enterados. Un e-mail a la casa matriz en la India hace una semana, y aún estan por contestar. Lo que se dice un timo.

Easy to fit
Time will tell if it makes a difference, but from experience, these do reduce limescale. Item was really easy to fit.

Best installed by a competent plumber.
Installed this product two years ago and its still working well. Plenty of soapy suds when showering and a reduction of in shower gel usage. Reduces furring of pipework and the coil in the hot water tank if a conventional hot water system is installed. Ideal in hard water areas. Will buy again. Gra. C.
