As a detailer with 15+ years of experience, I have to say this item works exactly as promoted - and does a GREAT job... When you know how to use it CORRECTLY. That being said, here are some tips for those who don't have experience polishing things that don't oscillate: 1. Make sure your surface is clean of dirt and debris. 2. Do not overload the product with polish. Apply a just a few drops, and work the product gently in to prevent it from being flung once you start your drill. 3. Do NOT go full power with your drill. Barely squeeze the trigger and get it spinning at about 1/2 of max speed. 4. Do NOT push the product against the surface with great force. You are polishing, not drilling a hole. Push lightly and allow the product to "deform" or "change shape" slightly while pressing it against the surface to be polished. 5. Do NOT keep it in one spot for a great period of time. That is to say, keep it moving. Since this is for a drill, it will not oscillate and will act like a rotary. If you hold it in one spot, and are applying too much pressure, and going at a high rate of speed, there is a great change you will not only damage the surface of what you are trying to polish, but could burn through any clear and damage the actual rim/item itself. 6. Keep the product moist with polish. If you start to see it leaving little red pieces of debris, you are going too hard and not using enough polish. 7. After you are finished, soak the product in very warm (hot but not boiling) water for about 10 minutes. Afterwards, spray it out and ring/squeeze out excess water and allow to dry. Don't allow polish (or especially compound) to dry inside the product as this will severely degrade it's ability to function correctly. Treat it like a polishing/cutting pad - if you have the experience and get what I'm saying. I just used this to polish all 5 of my gloss blank Enkei rims on my show/daily WRX with ease. Normally, I do them by hand. I decide to use this to save me some time getting in the tight spaces, while also using my Rupes 5" DA on the faces of the 6-spoke Enkei's. Great product and very glad I purchased it. Great quality, great durability, left a perfect shine, and will definitely recommend to others.
