This is a great product. As you upgrade to an aftermarket stereo with Apple or Android built in, you need a sleek place to connect your phone. This fits right in your cigarette lighter position, or similar size hole. Also you can surface mount it with the included bracket. The product and cables are high quality and this met all my needs. The attached photo shows how I removed the cigarette lighter from my 2006 Audi A3 and replaced it with this product. The hole didn't even need modification, although you do have to take the entire center console out.

This adapter is a perfect replacement for the useless lighter port (that is being phased out)! It's just about the right size to directly replace any lighter port in any vehicle, and the cables are long enough to make that happen. In fact, they're quite TOO long for my setup, and I had to coil a good bit of it to tuck it into the away behind the dash fascia. It's likely too long for most vehicles, but you can cut/shorten/coil it if needed.One more awesome thing about it, USB 3.0 with a nice good gauge wire.I have it coupled with a home bluetooth adapter, to give my ol' car an "on all the time" bluetooth connection that looks factory.

I purchased this to install in my car; it felt like high quality due to cable thickness and weight. The USB connection is horrible, nothing I have plugs in easy, or unplugs easily from this plug. I now have the fun job of pulling this out, and finding a quality replacement that can use the same mounting hole.

Works well. USB is great. Kind of hard to navigate folders if many. Can fit a lot of music on a 32G samsung device. No led blinking -goodAux connection 3.5mm jack input audio pops and hums at a volume over 22 out of 40 for a honda accord 07. Good for tablets and movies though somewhat. Can put audio on speakers in the car. I wish it would play playlists though. Not sure if could or not. I would like to try this. To create playlists and play them would be better than playing songs in different folders. You could drop the songs to a certain folder and play it from there. That is a pain and would have many copies of the same file or song in different folders. I guess no different than a burned cd with mp3's or wma files on it. Songs get read pretty fast. LED on usb device is always on if playing music or not or in aux mode c or not. If radio is off I'm not sure if it goes out. I think on all the time even if radio is off. Maybe for charging device as well. I have to check this. You can also use a $11 dollar bluetooth connection device but audio will still hum after a vol of 22. I think picking up some digital sampling or popping. Tick tick tick ..Think USB if plugged in takes priority. I think USB needs unplugged to go to aux 3.5mm connector.

This thing is excellent all around. The cables are fairly heavy guage and well insulated. The mounting hardware provides multiple options to get the job done and the end result looks perfectly integrated. Very happy with the way this turned out in our OdysseyEdit: I forgot to mention I am using this with a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX. Android auto and car play both work flawlessly with my Essential PH-1 and iPhone SE.Protip - If you are having random disconnect issues with Android auto make sure that USB debugging is disabled. Worked for me.

The threaded nut that screws onto the cylinder is a soft rubber like material. So soft in fact, that as you screw it onto the cylinder, it deforms and makes it nearly impossible to tighten. It also tends to cross-thread when threading onto the cylinder. Once you get the nut flush against the dash, as soon as you try to snug it down, the soft threads on the nut won't hold. You can only tighten it up a little bit, if you go any further, the threads will pop past one another and then it's all loose again. Is there a nylon nut available to use instead of the soft rubber nut? What is the thread size of the nut? I think a nut made out of a harder material such as nylon would make this a much better product.As far as the functionality of the USB plug and 3.5mm jack, it works fine as advertised.

Installed new Car stereo in my 2004 Mustang GT convertable. Kept me from doing tackt things to my classic car.

Now ordered a 1m cable version instead of 2m from another brand with the hope of having access to android auto on my pioneer. Also, the plastic nut has cross-threaded so it cannot be tightened enough to secure it. I used some tape to provisionally secure it whilst waiting on an alternative from another brand.
