It's solidly built, easy to 'install' and needs only the appropriate adaptor for your particular microphone. Like most booms, it relies on tension to maintain its position, which will certainly wear out over time. For the price I don't think you would be disappointed with it. You will want to assure you use a shock mount as there is very little to get in the way of vibrations from whatever you c-clamp it to. It does come with a foam pop protector, but a pop screen on a goose neck will give better overall performance.

Got this for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loved it and has has no issues with it. I would but from this brand again.
