Works great for reading ssds instead of plugging them into a motherboard
This converter works great and was an affordable price. It has a sata and m.2 ssd reader, yet only one works at a time. I would have been nice for both to work simultaneously. I was not able to clone one sdd to another with this reader but how often are people using it for that.

OKO M.2 to USB Docking Station Reader was able to
I had a 2TB SSD memory stick for a few years to archive photos and personal documents but suddenly it couldn't be detected on my pc or cell phone (disk not detected). I tried everything and nothing worked until stumbling across this OKO M.2 to USB Docking Station Reader. I inserted the SSD into this and BOOM read it perfectly! Thank goodness because my whole life was on that one memory stick. Note to self...backup the backup LOL. What can I say, this OKO M.2 to USB Docking Station Reader was a life saver.

Worked Perfect for Recovery
This device was affordable and allowed me to recover the files off of the drives I pulled from my fried laptop.

Works for what it is
Good hard drive reader, took a bit to get working. Almost had to send it back as I thought it was a dud. Once up and running it did as described.

does the job
works well enough seems transfer speeds are slower than advertised.

Works until it doesn't
I bought this device planning to use it to clone my existing M.2 SSD to a new larger one, but the clone process failed every time with a write failure after 30-40 minutes of data transfer. Wondering if perhaps my new SSD was the culprit, I installed it in another system and ran extensive hardware diagnostics, which all ran clean - the drive is perfect.Eventually, I created a backup to my secondary HDD and then restored to the new drive after replacing the old one on the motherboard, and everything now works great.Bear in mind that I was using a USB3.2 Gen 2 interface running at the full 10Mbps transfer rate, so perhaps things were just overheating after a while - the drive and adapter were quite warm, though not dangerously so - and perhaps running it at a lower sleep of for less sustained operations might work fine, but I'm not willing to risk it. I was planning on using this device to mount the older drive for extra storage after the migration, but I feel that I just can't rely on it and will be returning it for a refund.

Great product. Plug and play.
The product is very easy to use. I only used it once, but I believe it will work as needed.
