Press on yellow button and while pressing yellow button and holding please remove the razor by pulling on it. **Q: is there a way to make the blade stay locked out or does the slide have to be held all the time?** A: No, you cannot push out and lock the blade. It retracts each time. **Q: Is the handle aluminum or plastic?** A: Not plastic. Some type of metal. Maybe steel. It feels durable. **Q: Does it hold the blade tight?** A: Mine DID NOT, I wasted my money on this cutter. I don't even use it because I cannot get the blade to lock in place.
