Q: Does it make any difference which end is inlet?

well I started at the Catalytic converter and worked my way back and used the appropriate end which fit at that point where the muffler went. In other words, Male female male female etc. But in my case I didn't originally use the muffler, and had to add it in after to soften the exhaust noise. I ended up having to cut slits on the end to make a female so that it could match up with what I had already installed

Q: Will this fit my 2004 F250 Diesel

It will not fit a factory exhaust. It has to be a 4” exhaust.

I have already installed the muffler on my truck it does a good job at idle it is not much loader than stock but when you acceleration it is louder and perform well. The construction seem very good
