Burns for a solid 12 minutes with a constant 4 inch soft yellow flame. Add almost 1 minute more for red hot embers which can ignite anything you got, just blow. Gives off tons of heat. Might want to roll it over half way through burn...sometimes the bottom might stay unlit. Well packaged in two sealed plastic bags (9 in each bag). Measures 6 inches in length for each. Stick them in a ziplok and in your pocket..good to go. Lights with flame, ferro rod and even a sparklite. Totally waterproof. One of these equals six of the SOL cotton tinders. Can be cut down to any size. Burns very hot and absolutely no odor.
