This book is a basic introduction to the state-of-the-art in current maritime logistics. The general reader can easily follow the chapters and understand how the maritime industry works on a number of different levels. That said, the chapters are academic in approach, but the content is relevant and useful. I found it very inforamtive and interesting. It brought me up to date quickly and has made me somewhat conversant, and certainly more aware of this needed industry.

Another gift for my fiance and again, I hit the nail on the head with this gift. He is an avid Maritime lover!!

great book and service

This is an excellent book!!! I found it very useful for my research area especially the strategies adopted by the shipping lines in the millennium era..

I was disappointed in this book with its title of being "a complete guide". It maybe be for academics, but is not a complete guide for practioners, who will likely get tired of the endless literature reviews and associated comments that are normally reserved for academic journals. A pity, as it is nicely produced and covers a topic that is largely ignored.

i love this book, because it shows all i need to know about logistic and therefore i encourage people to get theirs and enjoy
