Great idea. Both of these work fine. Can't always find an outlet. But there is usually a light wall or ceiling. Good to have in the handyman box!

I bought this to convert a porch light into a normal outlet for a fan. I have it high on a covered porch in the high humidity and heat of Florida with zero issues. Be aware that light sockets likely have a lower wattage rating then there is for a dedicated socket. I wouldn't trust to run major drawing devices like a power tool or heater without triple checking first. My older wiring supports 400watts.

So easy to hook up shop lights with some seriously increased lumens in your dark garage compared to those terrible stock single bulbs. Especially for vaulted garage ceilings where the light source is so distanced. Can't go wrong with these!

Just what I was looking for. Heavy duty! I use it outside on my porch light outlet . Very impressed.

Nothing it works

Simple and so easy to use. Redecorated a patio that had no power outlet and only one lightbulb socket. Screwed this into the socket and hung a string of outdoor string lights. It is now beautifully lit and controlled with the light switch. Best hack ever for an area with no power outlet.

Perfect, allowed us to use our balcony and switch for the light to mount Christmas lights for the season
