Q: Can I get more bait for traps?

Why spend the money. Put some tuna, dog poop or something stinky in the bowl.

Q: The flies just eat and leave. They dont fly up. Is there a trick to keep flies so they fly up?

you might not have set it up right. Mine works excellent. After the bait is gone, I just used bad eggs, raw or bad meat. The only complain I have is the top where the hook comes out creates a larger hole. So I just patch it up with plastic food wrap.
