These are quality fence posts. They are very heavy, and if installed deeply (2 feet recommended), very solid. The product description says they are made from recycled railroad rails and I believe it. These should last for years. They recommended burying two feet (with a 9' length that leaves a 7 foot height). A sledgehammer was just impractical for me (height plus their weight); had to dig and bury, quite a job, but quite happy with results (I reckon a gas powered post pounder would have been the ticket.
