Doug Thorley Headers rear swept universal shorty headers deliver the ultimate in compact performance for your hot rod and/or custom application. These rear swept shorty headers replace the factory stock exhaust manifolds with a performance component that flows much better than stock, and feature are a 4:1 design that exits via a 3-bolt flange. That better exhaust flow produces noticeable gains in horsepower and torque output, while increasing fuel efficiency. The headers are manufactured using heavy duty 14GA steel tubing, and super flat 3/8 inch head flanges. They are then silver ceramic coated inside and out, which looks great, drastically reduces under-hood temperatures, and creates a strong barrier to protect the headers from the environment. Application specification: Hot rods and/or custom applications, utilizing a (4.8-6.2) liter LS motor (will not fit LS7), that require a shorty header with an exit that is near the rear of the motor and angling downward. 1-5/8 inch primary tubes, 2-1/2 inch collector outlet (exhaust adapters are included).
