A young unidentified girl is dressed up but has been murdered at one of the venues. The manner of her death causes the chief to act out of character.He confides in Josie and we find out about a very personal cold case which means revisiting his past which includes seeing his corrupt ex police officer father.We find out why they revisit this particular cold case and the more they dig into the whole case they unearth missing girls, cruelty, corruption and cover ups within areas of trusted establishments.Soon as they try to piece everything together they are in a race to save the latest victims one thing against them is that all the victims have in many things in common, in particular is that they are all found on what would have been their sixteenth birthday, noting the ages of the latest missing victims it means they have only days to unpick a case that no one wants them to dig into….There is also a shock at the end for one of the team……

Loved this book couldn't put it down. The whole series is excellent and can't wait for the next one. Great author wonderful characters and always a brilliant read.

Good engrossing read

I don't know how Lisa Regan does it. She keeps coming up with these brilliant stories that I can't put down. I love this series, Josie Quinn doesn't give up in her fight to solve crimes. The stories are thrilling and fast paced. Everything you want in a thriller.

I shall be able to go to bed at a reasonable time now I have finished another brilliant novel by Lisa Regan. I can't wait for Josie's next adventure. Lisa never fails to give us reader some fantastic stories. Please keep it up from one of your many fans.

Love this series

Absolutely love the books. Found book 2 on a bookbub recommendation and have worked my way through to book 14. Staying up late into the night because there are so many twists and turns and I need to know who did it.The stories are so well written with great characters, learning a little bit more about each of them as the series evolves. I cannot wait for the next instalment
