I did'nt like that there were no instructions. We had to figure out ourselves where the holes needed to be and had to drill them. If we did not have our own shop, we could never have put it together.

Positive Comments: White handrails are hard to find. They are beautiful in appearance. Heavy duty steel increases stability & sturdiness. Much larger base than others. Rubber grips are well positioned. Negative Comments: Product was missing parts. Manufacturer neglected to drill holes in the post; customer had to purchase a special drill bit by DeWalt to create holes for bolt/nut as well as screws to complete the installation. One day of rain, any area that was missing the baked-on paint, "rusted" all over the plate. Customer had to build make-shift umbrellas out of rubber washers and o-rings to prevent the water from filling up the lower post cavity. Customer had to purchase Krylon Fusion 5X spray paint to touch up any exposed steel. Handrail is advertised as adjustable height; not true; actual height is 57 inches. It will not go any lower than that. Handrail is advertised to swivel; true, but knob screw is not designed for convenience. Customer would have returned both handrails, but given the hot tub sits on top of them, and water was being filled the day after their delivery, the customer had to improvise, use mechanical ingenuity to make the handrails work. If anything, the manufacturer should compensate the customer for all the materials purchased.

The individual pieces seem heavy weight and sturdy, however, where the base connects to the handrail, it is flimsy and it flexes. There were NO instructions included and we had trouble with one of the bolts.

As the senior citizen in the family, getting in and out of the hot tub was taking my life in my hands! This handrail made such a difference in my feeling of safety. I like this so much, I've asked my daughter to get another. We have good steps, so with two, I'll REALLY be in and out of the tub safely! What a great idea! Easy to "install" and ready to use right away. Very strong and stable. Yahoo!
