Delicious and healthy. One of the only grains I can eat.

I’ve tried so many other wild rice and none of them even comes close to this one. This wild rice is actually tasty and the closest I’ve come to normal white rice, taste wise.Anyway I soaked this overnight for 24hrs and cooked another 15-30 minutes depending on the amount of chewiness you’re going for. The longer you cook it the less chewy it becomes. I personally love a lil bit of a chewy texture so I cooked it for almost 18 minutes after soaking overnight. I’m sad that it’s always sold out because It’s really delicious and would like to buy again. yum!

The item is fabulous. You can notice the rich fiber when you chew on it. The flavor is outstanding. But above everything, It lasts long. Doesn't get burned too fast like white rice. I would say, please lower the price, so it be more affordable.

The long black rice taste very good. Kids like to eat that. We mix it with white rice.

I prepared 1 serving. It was divine! Takes at least 5 mins to boil water and an additional 50 mins to simmer—this is why I literally had to make time to prepare this stuff. I've never been someone who cooks, but I must, due to being sensitive to everything I eat since getting out of the hospital 5 years ago. This stuff gave me no issues at all. No headaches, no bloating, no joint pain and no blood sugar spike after fasting 14:10—it tastes really nice. I can't wait to have it again tomorrow! I want to eat this everyday 🤤

Lovely Flavor, holds together very well for a 'wild' rice, and the color stay close to black, not like other brands that 'wash out' and the end product is an off grayish non appetizing color. The Lundberg Family are known for their dedication to excellence in all the products they produce, so buy any of their products with confidence, the little extra price they get for their products is well worth it, knowing you'll be getting the Very Best of whatever You're buying. I have NO connection with them, just a loyal customer who want the best and enjoys the Lunberg Family Farm products. If you buy a small package the first time you're trying one of their items, and you really like it, you can lower your cost dramatically by buying the product in a much larger package. I buy most of my rice in 25 pound bags, then repackage into 5 gallon sealable food containers kept in dark cool area.

I grew up in Minnesota, where we take our wild rice very seriously. For years, pre-Internet, whenever I visited family in Minnesota, I would always stop and buy wild rice at Red Owl (yes, I'm that old!) or Byerly's or, if I forgot or couldn't get to a grocery store, even at the airport, and it was always much higher quality and about 10% of the cost of the short-grain that was sold in the coastal state in which I then lived. During those years, every non-Minnesotan on my gift list always received some Minnesota wild rice. Fast forward several decades. In those decades, I came to value all of the Lundberg rices, some of which I could purchase during my Whole Foods years. Once, I even ordered a case of Lundberg's "Jubilee" mix directly from Lundberg (and paid for shipping). Today, I live far away from Minnesota, to which I no longer travel, and in the middle of nowhere, in a state in which there are no Whole Foods, and in a town in which all groceries are expensive. Thank goodness for Amazon prime! Now, via Amazon, I can order both the "Jubilee" mix (recently bought a case of six one-pound packs) as well as the wild rice, with free shipping. I find the flavor and texture of the Lundberg wild rice to be excellent, so this will be my go-to from now on.
