This book is chock full for great information for learning. The way this series is written makes it easy for younger and older children to enjoy. The way the words just whimsically dance across the page is beautiful. A great asset to your home library or homeschool library.

Absolutely beautiful and fun to read. Gorgeously illustrated. Informative without being too much for littles, and has different stages of information sp the book grows with your kiddo! My 6 year old loves trying to match the egg illustrations in the front cover to the animals on the back.

The illustrations are gorgeous & the writing is captivating. My kids loved the first page that shows eggs & the last page that shows which birds hatch out of the eggs. We followed this up with A Nest is Noisy. They go together perfectly.

The illustrations are exquisite. The accompanying narrative is perfect for children & even adults. Teaches in a manner that is worthy of a Pulitzer Prize!

I just love books that are both factual and beautiful, and this is absolutely one of them. Really fills you with a sense of wonder at the magic of the natural world. Text is very accessible even though it describes complex things and illustrations are simply beautiful. If you enjoy this one, you'll also love the Nature Storybooks series published by Walker - similar blend of beautiful book and fascinating facts.

This series is amazing. The books are high quality and provide information geared to children on the various topics featured in the books. The artwork in these books is detailed, beautiful and captivating for children and adults alike. When this series was used in our kindergarten class, the children enjoyed them very much and they led to different inquiries and ‘research’ projects. Beautifully written and illustrated!
