Beautiful addition to the dining room but quality is lacking
Shipping - The buffet arrived within a week of placing the order, much quicker than expected. It came in three boxes and was shipped from Overstock.com. Assembly - I hired someone to put it together and was really glad because it took nearly four hours. It's like putting together Ikea furniture but there are five drawers and two cabinets, so it does take time even with the tools. Appearance - The buffet, after assembly, looks great. Slightly darker than the photo in the product description. Storage space - The drawers (except for the smallest one) are shallower than I expected and the cabinets are not very deep either. So if you're looking to store big items in this, check the dimensions before buying. It fits my purpose very well. Quality - I'm giving it three stars because the quality of the rubberwood is not very good. A couple of the pieces split during assembly when screws (per the instructions) were inserted. See pictures. One of the cracks is visible at the front of the buffet and I'm afraid that it might spread over time, splitting the wood. Overall though, this is an elegant addition to our dining room. I just hope it lasts for a while.
