Connectors are bit too thick
Connectors are a little large and the cable a little stiff. They work well once connected. Was looking for Startech cable replacement, those were better. Easier to route being more flexible and connectors also better. But could not find them available.

Decent SATA Cables but beware an occasional bad one.
I have purchased many of these OKGear 18 inch, (and other lengths) SATA cables through the years. They are well designed, and the connectors are relatively "flat", so you can install them "one, on top of the other" where they connect into the Motherboard SATA ports. The latches work well, and I like the flexible round cable much better then the flat "ribbon" type cable. The round cables are easier to organize and just look better in my opinion. You do have to beware though, in that I have purchased one or two of these cables that were non functional. You have to wonder when the cheap $1.00 SATA cable works, and this Premium SATA cable does not. They are not valuable enough to ship back to Amazon for replacement. I just throw them away. I have begun to move towards a more expensive sheathed SATA cable that I like very much, and have not had a bad one of those yet, but that is a different review. I would not be afraid to get these, but just beware that you can get a bad one on occasion.

Okgear cables are great for the price.
I really like OKcables. I have used them in several builds including my own custom build. I used the UV blue ones for my personal build and also the flat type. I bought this black one to go into one of our server builds and it has not had any issues. I have never had any OKcable SATA cables that did not function just as advertised. The only thing I have had is fading, but that happens with a lot of the UV cables. Usually I replace them only if I am upgrading from SATA II cables to SATA III cables. This was my first experience with the round cable. I really like the way it is constructed. I would also imagine that it allows more air flow around the cable since it is round and not flat, if there is any amount of excess cable. Also I do not know if the cables come in the round form and the UV blue combo.Nice cables for a great price.

Good quality, but note the length of the connector
Bought five of these cables to connect 2 SSDs, 2 HDDs, and 1 optical drive. All have functioned well.NOTE: These are straight SATA connectors and the actual connector that plugs into a drive is longer than most other SATA cable connectors. (These stick out 1 inch when plugged in versus other SATA cables I have that are about half the length.) My case has the disk drives positioned perpendicular to the depth of the case, so connectors come out near one of the side panels. These connectors stick out too far so I cannot close the side panel (without bending each cable at an extreme 90 degrees). Had I known how long the connectors were, I would have ordered the cables with 90 degree connectors in the first place. Hope this might help others.

Nice cables
Solid feeling cables but just a tad to short for my application. I built in a Phanteks Evolve Shift 2 case and the location of my SATA ports make these cables about 1-2 inches to short for me. I hope I get to use these in another build!

SATA Cables not perfect, but close.
I purchased these to specific lenghts to use them to clean up my PC's internal cabling. All 3 cables worked fine, but their lenght is measured from tip of connector to tip of connector, not measured to actual cable lenght. Just a word of warning, if you are ordering cables to specific desired lenghts, be aware that you should measure from the connectors extreme lenght, not the lenght of the actual cable.

Absolute garbage and waste of my time
These cables were purchased as a way of mitigating risk for a new cutting edge server build (256 GB SSD OSRAID; 8TB DataRaid10)... When building a machine with a cutting edge MB's and technology, it's always a good idea to tip the scales in your favor by selecting the best equipment possible for the build. (doing so compensates for potential issues related to lack of documentation, BIOS ver 1.0 issues or driver issues). As it turned out, the MoBo, BIOS, Backplane, Controller card or drivers didn't pose many issues... but these flipping cables!!! Kept tossing intermittent SMART errors, or at times wouldn't report the presence of a disk in its slot. Who ever heard of a cable being the cause of issues like this... I ended up testing the PSU, double checking jumpers settings... basically chased my tail for 20+ hrs. Finally, I decided to just pull every and swap each item one at a time... That's when I discovered these cables were the cause of my issues. Never AGAIN! I don't just want my money back... I want my time back. Upon taking a closer look at the connectors, (as compared to the SuperMicro SATA cables), the female aspect of these connectors are slightly larger and don't connect as snug as the other cables that I'm using now.
