Works great but needs a coin or screwdriver for last tweak
Arrived as pictured work wonderfully, with two provisos. The first being be sure to work the screw that holds the binoculars to the holder all the way through do the head of the screw is tight against the holder.Second is have a quarter or a screwdriver to put the ladt snug on.Doing those two things it will hold everything tight and movement free.I have a Bushnell 10x50 and having thrm on a tripod makes a big difference when doing extended viewing.

Rock-steady viewing in minutes!
Rock steady viewing is now a reality for me with this adapter. I could never quite get my Bushnell 10 X 50 Wide Angle binoculars steady enough by just holding them (even with my elbows propped up on a table) to observe the moon for any length of time because of all the usual problems: unsteady hands, image moving when I breathe, even jittery image due to heartbeat vibrations. Well, that's all in the past now!I am writing this review at 2:45 a.m. because I just got inside from an HOUR of observing the moon and couldn't wait until morning to share my enthusiasm for this adapter. It fit my binoculars perfectly and mounted very solidly to my camera tripod. No problems at all and it took no more than 5 minutes from the time I opened the package to when I was setting up the tripod in my backyard. This adapter is well made and does what it is designed to do: keep your binoculars steady for hands-free viewing. I am actually VERY impressed with the quality of my binoculars because the clarity of the image is amazing now that it is actually steady! My only regret is that I didn't buy this product years ago!

A competent, solid performer
This is my 3rd unit...what can I say. This adapter is a few bucks more than some others but I know it works and a little extra coin is worth not guessing if the unit size is appropriate when used between the barrels on a set of binoculars.Simple and solid product from Bushnell

Binoculars loosen up on adaptor
This is my second binocular tripod adaptor. My first was another brand (costing about twice as much as this model) which was lost during a hunting trip - so I have experience with adaptors that actually work. This adaptor fit securely to the tripod but the binoculars attachment was not satisfactory. Problem 1 - The threaded screw for the binoculars is fairly short (approx. 1/4" of thread going into the binoculars). Problem 2 - even though you tighten the attachment to the binocular, the first time you touch the binoculars and make even a slight adjustment, the binoculars loosen enough to rotate on the tripod adaptor. Due to the length of the connecting screw, inserting any kind of rubber washer on the screw to hold the binoculars from rotating lessens the amount of available thread into the binocular. Problem 3 - I tilted the binoculars back and forth and the connection screw continued to loosen. Additional rotation of the binoculars combined with the short threaded screw into the binoculars could create a situation where if you aren't watching carefully, the binoculars could back off the screw. If you use this you should secure your binoculars strap to the tripod so that they won't fall all the way to the ground should they work their way off the screw. If you have a good set of binoculars that you value, you should probably find a better adaptor. I've had this adaptor for a few hours and have already printed my paperwork to return it.
