Nantucket Spider products work very well and smell great. We use the Spray and Incense Sticks with outdoor activities.

Had my doubts at first as I was worried these would seem more like incense than anything that would repel insects. We tried them out a few times, though. Overall, they do seem to work, but it's best to light a few of them in various locations throughout the yard. What we tried to do is create a zone of subtle burns that would not overwhelm our guests. You definitely do not want to place one right next to you as the smoke could get a bit overwhelming. Which brings me to my only gripe: I wish they sold more of the slate blocks separately. This would allow us to spread the burning sticks around more strategically in our yard and, therefore, be able to ward off annoying insects more effectively.

These are a little pricey, but they DO work. And they don't smell like toxic poison, they actually smell good. More importantly, they WORK. The little block holds them perfectly, as well as other sticks. Good purchase, I definitely recommend this product, and I will order again.

I have been purchasing this brand from a little shop across town for several years now. Was happy when I found them here on Amazon, as it's harder to get to the store lately with a new baby.Anyway, these incense sticks smell decent and do seem to help some with flying bugs. I do tend to get eaten alive by mosquitoes in the summer so I will burn like 2 or 3 of these at a time all around me. They don't give me a headache like some of the other bug deterrent products out there.I usually don't use the little stone holder that came with it..... I just put the sticks in the ground or in my planters.... I would guesstimate that each stick will smoke for about an hour or so.

Mosquitoes always go for my blood. If I have to spend some time outside, 1 minute later they are attacking me. I know my blood type is the one they love but it is annoying as hell. Every time I spend some time outdoors I have to use DEET products and they are not good for your skin.With this product, I turned the incense stick on and immediately I feel the difference. Do I still get bitten by them? Maybe 1 or 2, but not as before. I had to be constantly watching for the little black annoyers, but not any more. Love the product. Little expensive but right now it is worth it.

This product is by no means cheap. Still, I bought it expecting good performance. I bought it as a set of 2 and it was over $40. But i'm so disappointed. Only the first one or two worked, then it failed. It does not catch fire, and even if it does, it goes out after about 30 seconds. I've already used about 6 revisions, so I can't even return it. I really think it's a waste of money, and I'm very disappointed with this product. I'm going to choose and buy a product that is cheaper than this now. (I've used cheaper ones before.)

I feel like they work.

The residue is hard to deal with but I love the fragrance. It keeps bugs at bay but I use three at a time.
