I mean 50 bucks is a lot of money for some plastic that might break on the first uses. Is it guaranteed?** A: I've used mine a half dozen times already and it's held up. It's a far better strainer than the bag strainer that came with the machine when I purchased it. I wished they made a pitcher to work with it tho. It fits a quart canning jar perfectly, but that's only a 4 cup vessel and I usually make a max level batch which is five cups. I haven't had to test any guarantee, but I've had it for a couple years now. **Q: I left Home with an herb still inside the strainer. It molded bad! How can I get it out of the bottom of the strainer? My hand doesn't fit in.** A: I have always cleaned up right after using; however, I would recommend soaking in hot soapy water for a while, then use the supplied brush to scrub it.
