This knee brace worked great, was easy to put on by myself & was comfortable when walking or sitting, would highly recommend.

These are one of the rare types that have a open back behind the knee. The patellar ring is supposed to help stabilize the kneecap, but doesn't truly seem to do much. The option of adjusting the tightness with Velcro straps is so much better than a 'sleeve'. The top part could be a little longer, but as is, it works OK.Definitely a good purchase for somebody looking for adjustability and an insulating effect. These type of sleeves do not offer much side support like ones with metal 'rods' built-in. But that's not what this type of product is designed to do, anyway. Definitely keeping this product and looking to probably buy more of them.
