Good enough for lap swimming
I have used these for lap swimming in a public pool 4 times a week, 40 minutes each day, for about 7 months now. Overall, they work well for swimming, and help get me get through my workout so that I am not so bored. The sound quality is not great, but I was not expecting it to be, nor did I need it to be for lap swimming. A few minor frustrations I have about this product:1. I wish there was a 'shuffle' mode for the onboard playlist. Since I am lap swimming, I use the built-in 16GB memory, but it only plays the songs in alphabetical order. At least it remembers where I left off in my play list each time I turn it off.2. I wish their included ear plugs came in smaller sizes. I have sensitive ears due to some bad dental work years ago, so things in my ears for extended periods of time can start to hurt after a while. I have a pair of swimming ear plugs that I find very comfortable, but in order for the part that goes around the ear not to fall off while lap swimming I was forced to attach and use the included ear plugs. After about 40 minutes they do start to hurt my ears so it is a good thing I don't typically swim much longer than that. My hair can also sometimes get trapped in the silicone part of the plug that attaches to the device so that it pulls one hair each time I turn my head to breath, even though I wear a swim cap. This is not too fun, especially since I like to swim a mile without stopping, so I using just have to swim through the discomfort.3. It would be nice if the device verbally said what the battery status is each time you power it on. I have noticed that the battery only lasts about 2.5 hours, and I am often forgetting to charge it each week before I go swimming. The battery often dies on me half way through my 5th swim on the same charge. Currently, there is no way to determine how much charge the battery still has.The biggest issue is that you have to make sure to plug in the device correctly while charging or connecting to a computer. This was not stated anywhere in the manual, and mine stopped charging after less than 6 months of use. I was all set to leave a bad product review and start looking for a different music device for swimming, but I decided to email the company to see if they could help. To my surprise, they responded within 20 mins! After trying to troubleshoot, they determined that there was nothing I could do to fix mine, and offered to send me a replacement free of charge! I received the new one 2 days later, which was just in time for me to take it with me on my upcoming vacation! The new one had a warning card included in the box showing how to correctly attach the charging cable to the device, which my first one did not have. Since I was not aware there was a correct and an incorrect way to charge it, I am sure I never really paid attention to that for charging, which is probably why it died. I am very happy the company took equal responsibility for the 'user error' and sent me a new one.I will be sure to pay attention to how I plug this one in for charging so that it is done correctly, and I hope it will last more than 6 months this time. I also noticed on my old one that the volume level would go back to full each time I powered up the device, even if I had lowered it the previous time I used it. I only started to realize this when I noticed the left speaker was almost blown out. I think that was a result of the damage of plugging it in incorrectly to charge, as the new one does not seem to have this problem, but I do make sure my volume level is not too loud each time I turn it on.I really wanted to give this product a 3.5 star rating because of things it does not do that I wish it did, but I decided it the quick responsiveness of the company and their willingness to send me a new device made me decide to bump this up to a 4 star product/company.

These headphone have surpassed by expectations for use while swimming laps
I've used this headset while swimming laps. I have a larger head and often have a hard time finding products that fit well (eg, swimming goggles, hats, etc). The fit of these headsets is comfortable ( to the point of me not even noticing I am wearing them and they have never loosened or fallen off while I have been using them.Bluetooth works as expected. You must use the MP3 player in water as BT simply does not work. The headset has a 16 Gb flash card for storing mp3 files. They play in whatever order you sorted them on your computer before you copied them to the flash drive. I use an iPhone and Mac. I listen to Audible books and Apple Music files, neither of which are compatible with this player. I could not find any instructions about how to surmount this problem - so here are some tips for working through this if you are an Apple Mac user:To mount the headset to a Mac so you can access the SD card and download music to it (and erase music): 1. Shut Down your Mac, then attach the headset to your Mac using the USB cable that came with the headset (MAKE SURE you’ve attached the USB cable in the correct orientation by matching the (very small) slot and tab) as you plug it in), then restart your Mac. The SD Card should mount and is called “FLASHDEVICE”.2. If the flash drive did not mount after a restart, go to the App store and download a free NTFS app (it lets you mount and formate external disks (DO NOT REFORMAT THE FLASH DRIVE), just use the NTFS app to mount the Flash Drive. I’ve used XDISK (it appears in the menu bar when installed), MAX NTFS and NTFS Disk by Omi.3. You should see the FLASHDEVICE icon on the desktop when you can open and delete files and copy files to the DISK.4. The MP3 player on the flash drive will not play Apple Music files as Apple Music files are in an ACX format and a DRM protected. I use the free Audacity app on my Mac to convert Apple Music files to MP3 files and then drag and drop them onto the FLASHDEVICE drive. At first, Audacity may seem hard to figure out as you will need to download and install the “Soundflower 2 channel” extension (which you download from the developer's website. The way Audacity works is that it records an Apple Music song as a song is played. You then save the recording as an MP3 file, and copy that file onto the headset’s flash drive where it is playable. You will need to change the sound output in you Mac's system preferences and probably in audacity to the Suondflower 2 ch output, as audacity cannot make a recording from sound from your Mac’s speakers or other external speakers unless you are set up with a higher-quality external microphone. To do this, after Soundflower is installed, Click the Audio Setup button in Audacity and change “Playback device” and “sound recording device” from “Built-in Output” and “Built-in microphone” to Soundflower 2 ch (do this in your system preference settings as well). When you record a song, you will not be able to hear it as the sound is now being directed to audacity rather than your external speakers. You will have to change the Mac's Sound system preferences output and input settings back to the built-in output and mic to hear and record sound after using audacity to hear and record sound normally. You can do this by using the sound setting in your Mac’s System Preferences.5. Itappears that the FLASHDRIVE is formatted in a MS-DOS (FAT32) format, so you probably do not want to reformat it into a MAC drive format. To play Audible books on this headset I use the OpenAudible App (not found in the App Store - I found it at http//:Openaudible.org) which is easy to use and allows you to convert audible formatted files to MP3 including the ability to split books into chapters so you can forward and reverse to a particular chapter. You can use it for a trial period, but fully featured a license costs about $12
