## Description

Epoxybond Pool Putty Single-Stick is a unique, hand-moldable epoxy putty specially formulated for pool repairs. It can be used on concrete, Gunite, and many plastics (with roughened/prepped surfaces). The convenient single stick contains both epoxy resin and hardener in one. Just cut, mix, and fix. There is no need to drain pools to repair leaks and cracks because Epoxybond Pool Putty hardens underwater. Once cured, it will not shrink or sag. Color: White (4 oz. and 2 oz. stick available)

Review: Lessons learned..small batches, mix well - I’ve used pool putty twice in our fill pond, that holds water for our pool filtration system. The fill pond is concrete with a latex undercoat. If it gets a nick from brushing, vacuuming, etc., the latex can be exposed and deteriorate. So, effective patch coverage is essential for any nicks or cracks in the cement top coat. This product works wonders in coverage and holding up to the system’s daily wear and tear. My first underwater application was perfect. Set up, covered nicely and has weathered as expected. Second try was a flop…too little mixing time and too thin patches…they flaked and did not set up. I removed them and started over. This time I used smaller 1” -1 1/2 “ amounts, mixed until quite warm and pliable (2 - 3 minutes), and made even 1/8” thick patches. Voila! Perfect patches that were set up in 20-30 minutes. I’m keeping a spare tube handy, just in case I have more unexpected nicks. This product is a game changer. Prior to this we needed to drain the fill pond and make repairs over the course of several days. Costly and time consuming. Thank you pool putty!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work to adhere a plastic fitting into pebble tec finish?**
A: It should work for that,  I have a textured surface and it adheres fine.  Most leak in my pool occur around the plastic inlet fittings.  It adheres well to the plastic and the concrete. This putty is what the professionals use.

**Q: Can the application of this product be removed if necessary?**
A: The putty hardens like a rock. Removal would likely require sanding and or hammer / chisel

**Q: can this be used to fill leaking within tile grout? Without having to buy a whole grout repair kit. Thanks!**
A: This could work as a temporary repair. You would need to remove any loose material and wire brush all contact surfaces. The minimum depth and thickness must be 1/8”, 1/4” or greater is preferable.
Conventional grout may be the better, longer term solution for tile repairs

**Q: Will this work on vinyl pools?**
A: Vinyl pools?  As in:  A large inflatable type pool?  I wish I could tell you that it does. 
I honestly do not know.
But this epoxy works best on hard, non-flexible surfaces, ie. wood, concrete, fiberglass, metal, etc.
You might want to look into Phil Swift's FLEX SEAL product line.  He has a host of waterproofing products.
Apparently, the super adhesive flex tape kicks butt & holds out/or in, water.  But I'd strongly recommend you talk to one of their service reps first. Good Luck!   Casey

I’ve used pool putty twice in our fill pond, that holds water for our pool filtration system. The fill pond is concrete with a latex undercoat. If it gets a nick from brushing, vacuuming, etc., the latex can be exposed and deteriorate. So, effective patch coverage is essential for any nicks or cracks in the cement top coat. This product works wonders in coverage and holding up to the system’s daily wear and tear. My first underwater application was perfect. Set up, covered nicely and has weathered as expected. Second try was a flop…too little mixing time and too thin patches…they flaked and did not set up. I removed them and started over.
