Nucleus N1001R31 WHITE Anywhere Intercom, White [Open Box]

I bought 2 of these (and attempted to buy 4 more for whole house)and really like them for 24 hr. One of them failed to turn on next day. The other sound was too small. I turned volume max level but could not hear clear. It was intermittently. The screen is just ok.I like its function but quality is just so bad.

I purchased three of these for my home. If you are looking for an easy intercom or a way to video call quickly these will do the trick for you. The Alexa integration is good - I like being able to call up weather, etc. and even iHeart radio. The Ring integration is also done nicely. The screen pops up quickly once the doorbell is rung. It would be nice to be able to have it pop up on motion detection also, but maybe in a software update? I did have a problem with one of the units losing its wi-fi connection, but Nucleus was quick to send a prepaid return label and shipped me a new one via overnight UPS. I cannot complain - the service person I dealt with was great to work with.The replaced unit has worked flawlessly.

I like the intention behind the device but am really disliking the service behind the product and the constant issues with the product itself. Alexa comes on randomly and other times does not come on at all when prompted. She starts playing and answering questions we didnt ask, Sometimes the devices wont speak to each other. I have three in the home, none of the devices nor the app on my phone could communicate with the one in my daughter's room. When i emailed Customer Support, their immediate and single solution was that it was a problem with my network and to reset the modem and router. Not only was that lazy but completely unprofessional to blame anything but their product for the issue. All my endpoints at home are in working order except for this single unit. My point was proven last night when the device randomly started working again. There IS a glitch in the software of the device or a hardware issue. It is their problem to help us customers who spend significant dollars on a small unit, not everyone elses. I really like the concept, and for the most part they work (80% of the time) so i will not return...yet. But they really need to step up their support on the devices before they lose all their customers.

Best POE option I could find to replace my Nutone 1990s intercom.Lost stars because very buggy, need reboot often and interfaces with Alexa and ring buggy.An amazing idea poorly implemented but no regrets until nucleus 2 comes out hopefully some day

Product is buggy. Crashes when i try calling it with my iphone app. Not useableUpdate: Tech support contacted me and I was able to get the unit working. It turned out that the unit has to use the power dongle provided or it doesn't work correctly. The devices are not seeing each other on the same network so I am not able to call the devices as intended. Very frustrating to trouble shoot a vendor's product.I am now testing the Alexa integration and that part of the product also needs work. It does not recognize certain commands. If they can get 100% integration this will be a 5 star product

I have a simple use case: I want to use this as a video monitor/intercom for my Ring Doorbell Pro. It is terrible for this use for two reasons:1) In some cases the notification never comes up on the Nucleus but even when it does appear, it takes at least 30 seconds, by which time many people have already walked away.2) The only way you can communicate with Ring is when the doorbell is pressed and a notification is sent to Nucleus. There's no way to press a button on the Nucleus to simply see the door and talk to it as if it were another intercom.I could live with #2 as an issue, but a doorbell has to chime within a second or two to be useful.I also had various set up problems - for example the Nucleus seemed to lose network connection inexplicably even though there are a very strong connection right beside the router.Sending this one back after less than a day of use.

Just bought a new house and started my Smart Home journey with this device. My new house is big and yelling upstairs was really annoying. did some search for a basic intercom system and ended up with this. I bought a few to give it a shot and it quite an amazing product. Not only can you voice call, video call and broadcast to other devices, you can also download an app on your phone and video call home as well! A couple of other bonus is you can,1. connect it to a Ring smart doorbell to video chat with the person outside the door.2. Install a Nucleus at a family member or friends house. then you can chat with a touch!I will be buying a few more for my garage, back yard and basement. It's so easy to setup!
