Its raw material consist of fresh, large leaves from tea trees called Camellia Sinensis Assamica. Raw Puerh is naturally stored without going through the process of wet piling, or fermentation. These leaves are sun dried and typically compressed. The result: a clear and bright yellow tea water, a fresh and pure aroma with a strong hui gan, or returning sweetness, and a flavor that is wilder than ripe Pu-erh. After several years’ storage, the wildness of the tea is mellower, with a strong elegant fragrance.
