2008 VW Rabbit 2.5L - Works perfect
Bought this for my 2008 2.5L VW Rabbit, fits any 2.5L VW (Passat has same engine I think). Replacing this is fairly straightforward. Plenty of videos online - disconnect battery, unplug the connector, unscrew the sensor, then do those in reverse order to install the new one. Done. Jacked my car up and did this in about 30 min. This cheap replacement actually has a washer on each bolt, which the factory sensor was too cheap to even include lol.TIPS:1. Tools needed - lightsource for working under car, 4mm allen wrench (longer than those cheap sets you get for free when ordering anything you have to self-assemble), pliers or flathead screwdriver to help remove clips, 10mm socket or a wrench or something to disconnect battery (might be different on your car). **You could also use a 4mm adapter bit attached to your socket wrench, although most people would likely have a longer 4mm allen key I'm guessing.2. Jack up your passenger side, the angle of the sensor makes this side marginally easier. The oil filter is in the way to unplug the connector, therefore you must pop the connection out of its holder and then you have plenty of room to disconnect the sensor from the connector. You maybe could unplug the connector without removing it from its bracket but there is so little room its easier this way. Its a flexible rubber-like bracket that holds this connector, so you can just pull it out with your hands.3.As far as unscrewing the sensor, it is an M4 bolt. I had a long allen wrench from my cheap $30 allen wrench set I bought for working on my bicycles. I had to use the allen key the longway, meaning I had the short stubby end to generate 0 torque from. So I took a small 8mm socket set and attached a short extender to it. Slid the socket over the short stubby end of the allen key to get the leverage I needed to break the bolts free. I guess you could fashion anything for this purpose or use some locking jaws or even pliers.4. This sensor did not come with a new plastic heat sleeve protecting the wire, most don't I believe. Simply take the plastic sheath off the old sensor (held on by two clips to the wire assembly) and put it around the wire of your new sensor. Make sure you do this because the engine gets hot down there and you don't want your sensor wire melting.

Worked like a charm!
It was a little challenging to install given the location on a 2009 VW Rabbit, but the misfires went away. Overall a great buy and saved me hundreds in repair cost.

Did the job
Worked as needed but should bring wire heat casing for extra protection like the original.
