Whose brainchild was this?
I have several olights and loved every one of them, have 2 of the Seeker Pro 2 which work great so when I saw the Pro 3 and 1000 lumens brighter I did not need it but I bought it. What I cannot understand is why in the world they would put this roller device into the flashlight? Every time I go to turn it on I have to roll it for to unlock in order for it to come on, pretty ridiculous. I have tried for a couple of days to try and get used to it but it just isn't going to happen. They need to come up with some way to either override this lockout or eliminate it or they will be getting a lot of them back including mine.

The Brainchild who thought of this design did well...
I like the lockout mechanism. It keeps you from accidentally turning it on, by bumping it, while it is in the belt holster, or in your pocket (too big for a pocket carry IMHO). I quickly got used to turning the brightness ring 1st before hitting the power switch... easy to get used to. I love that trimmer ring around the switch, that is used to not only unlock the power switch, but to adjust the lumens output. I counted 50 power levels. My other Olights have 5 power levels, moonlight, 1, 2, 3, and turbo. This one has 50 power levels. Moonlight and turbo modes are activated the same as other models. This is not a toy... not for kids. It gets dangerously hot if misused, and is so bright in turbo mode, that I worry it could cause eye damage. Keep out of reach of children. It has the same magnetic charging style as other Olights, but you need to use the higher amp rated magnetic charger that comes with the light, MCC 1A/1.5A/2A. I hope this helps you if you are interested in buying one these, M.N.

Highly, highly recommend ladies!!! This is the only flashlight you'll ever want.
I used to get creeped out with my old flashlight because I couldn't quite see into the shadows in the dark. This flashlight lights up the entire vicinity like it's day time. I HIGHLY recommend for us women. You can darn near blind anyone coming at you, LOL. Make sure it's 3200 lumens or above. Love the rechargeable battery too. It's also light weight and easily fits in a small purse. This flashlight kills the competition.

EDIT: LIGHT RECALLED. Good light, but ridiculous complicated controls and safety features
RECEIVED EMAIL FROM AMAZON/OLIGHT- OFFERING EXCHANGE FOR DIFFERENT LIGHT DUE TO FIRE HAZARD. RESEARCH BEFORE BUYING!Really need to study and remember manual instructions to get it to work. Having to spin a button to ‘allow you’ to turn it on is ridiculous. Then you have to look at little control lights to see or adjust setting. I have 5 different Olights, love the magnetic chargers but I can do without complicated controls and safety features as if only idiots buy $100 plus flashlights. Seems like lawyers designed this.

Serious Flashlight
I like to call this “the Dad Light” because it’s a serious man’s light that ain’t fer screwin round with.In all seriousness, I love this brand and I have had many over the years. Mostly the Warrior model. This is a much better general use light that would sit well in your hand for many hours comfortably while the warrior model is hard metal, smaller, less grippy. It seems they are about the same lumens. I do love this brand, even though they are quite expensive; you could find a $50 one that would work about the same as this without all the lumens, but these flashlight are made to last a very very long time and feel nice in the hand. Expensive. I don’t love the requirement of a proprietary charger… everyone else uses USB C. It’s possible this makes it more waterproof, but also will very be tough to find an Olight charger in post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. You know you want this, just buy it. Your wife won’t find out.
