It is also good for crown molding and sound proofing interior walls. Big Stretch should not be used or specified in areas of water submersion, where frequent or prolonged puddling occurs, or in areas of high foot or vehicle traffic (i.e., swimming pools, tubs, showers, sidewalks, driveways, highways, and patios). Not for use on roofs, where prolonged dampness or possible submersion may inhibit curing. Review: Big fan of the big stretch! - So glad I found the Big Stretch online! We live in northern ohio and in the winter we all get cracks and gaps in caulk in molding. Big stretch has been a problem solver for sure! The only downside is that if you like nice straight caulk lines like me, and you tape for nice lines, you need to tape and then caulk and immediately pull the tape. If you let the caulk dry with the tape on you will be sorry as the caulk will stretch at the tape line and you will not have a straight line. So you pull the tape immediately and then after two days for full cure, re tape and paint. Yes its an extra step and more laborious but its worth it as you'll never have to caulk and paint again due to the glory of the stretch. I've got a larger 1/4" gap at the end of a counter top and while it did take a few coats to build up the big stretch, it filled it in and there is no cracking like I had with standard caulk. Looks great and professional. The comments about shrink are true, it shrinks more than normal caulk when drying, so again know that you may need to do a second coat depending on how thick you put it on. Review: There is no better Acrylic Caulk IMHO - By far the best and long lasting paintable (non-silicone) caulk I have ever used. If there is a brand that stays as flexible and resists shrinking better than Big Stretch, I have yet to find it. Of course I have stopped looking, and as long as the price stays reasonable, this will be my go to for the rest of my life. Really holds paint well and over the long haul! ## Features - Built to be the caulk that won't crack: stretches up to 500 percent as a flexible caulk that moves with settling, temperature swings, and wind, spanning gaps up to 2 inches wide instead of failing within a season - Adheres tightly to metal, vinyl, and wood, a true crack proof caulk rated for a 40 to 120 degree application range and a negative 30 to 250 degree service range, freeze thaw stable through 10 cycles - A weatherproof caulk that's paintable fast: ready for exterior latex paint in as little as 4 hours or exterior oil based paint after about a year, in a 12 shade plus clear color lineup - Covers window caulk exterior jobs, door frame caulk, siding caulk, trim caulk, and baseboard caulk needs, plus soffits, crown molding, vents, and acoustic soundproofing walls - Easy water cleanup while wet helps seal gaps around windows, siding, and doors for weatherproof, all-weather durability ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000H5OOPU | | Best Sellers Rank | #6,944 in Industrial & Scientific ( See Top 100 in Industrial & Scientific ) #29 in Adhesive Caulk | | Brand | Sashco | | Brand Name | Sashco | | Color | White | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 1,804 Reviews | | Full Cure Time | 5 days | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00031525100166 | | Included Components | Sashco 10016 10.5oz 10016 Big Stretch Caulk | | Initial Hardening Time | 1 hours | | Item Form | Paste | | Item Highlight | Pro grade elastic sealant adheres to metal, vinyl, and wood for windows, doors, siding, soffits, and soundproofing | | Item Type Name | Big Stretch Caulk | | Item Weight | 10.5 ounces | | Liquid Volume | 10.5 fluid ounces | | Manufacturer | Sashco | | Material Type | Acrylic Latex | | Maximum Gap Fill | 2 inches | | Model | 10016 10.5oz | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | 10016 | | Surface Recommendation | Wood, Vinyl, Aluminum, Galvanized Steel, Brick, Concrete, Stucco, Glass, PVC, Cedar/Pine | | UPC | 031525100166 | | Unit Count | 10.5 Fluid Ounces | | Warranty Description | Warranty | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Sashco - **Color:** White - **Full Cure Time:** 5 days - **Item Weight:** 10.5 ounces - **Liquid Volume:** 10.5 fluid ounces ## Images ![Sashco Big Stretch Interior & Exterior Caulk, White 10.5 oz 1 Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31Imlcys-jL.jpg) ![Sashco Big Stretch Interior & Exterior Caulk, White 10.5 oz 1 Pack - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61kcBwRkCqL.jpg) ![Sashco Big Stretch Interior & Exterior Caulk, White 10.5 oz 1 Pack - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61-GqX2YL8L.jpg) ![Sashco Big Stretch Interior & Exterior Caulk, White 10.5 oz 1 Pack - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61NFjDfrgqL.jpg) ![Sashco Big Stretch Interior & Exterior Caulk, White 10.5 oz 1 Pack - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61QPz3OjEYL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Number Of Items** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big fan of the big stretch! *by P***T on February 16, 2024* So glad I found the Big Stretch online! Of course I have stopped looking, and as long as the price stays reasonable, this will be my go to for the rest of my life. Really holds paint well and over the long haul! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best caulk *by M***N on September 2, 2026* Love this caulk, use it everywhere in the interior of my home. Doesn't crack with seasonal temperature shift and wood expansion/contraction. I never saw the point of putting all the effort into using cheap caulk like Alex you have to redo. The additional cost of the caulk is irrelevant compared to the labor. If you apply it in cracks and the wood expands you may get squeeze out but that it expected. Paintable, but dries very slowly--best to wait to paint until the next day. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sashco 10016 10.5oz 10016 Big Stretch Caulk 10.5-Ounce Cartridge, White - Newborn Newborn Drip-Free Smooth Hex Rod Cradle Caulking Gun with Gator Trigger Comfort Grip, 1/10 Gallon Cartridge, 10:1 Thrust Ratio, Blue , 10oz , 930-GTD - Sashco 10002 10.5oz Big Stretch Acrylic Latex High Performan --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.sk/products/4223700-sashco-big-stretch-interior-and-exterior-caulk-white-10-5](https://www.desertcart.sk/products/4223700-sashco-big-stretch-interior-and-exterior-caulk-white-10-5) --- *Product available on Desertcart Slovakia* *Store origin: SK* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
