Designed to break
I've had 3 of these connectors in the last 6 months. All have broken. None have been subjected to unusual stress. They are convenient. But whatever else you do, don't use one of these without having a backup connector/union of some kind available or you'll end up sucking on the end of the main tube until a replacement can be obtained.

It's a miracle
It could be too soon to be raving about this, but oh what a difference so far!! My mom has 50 feet of oxygen tubing that allows her to get to all areas of her 3 bedroom ranch home. Before putting this on, the tubing would start to twist, kink, and almost cutoff the entire oxygen supply to her after just a few days of putting on new tubing. After putting this little swivel device on, there are some slight curves in the tubing, but after 2 weeks, there are no kinks whatsoever! Previously, she was using a cannula that had a very short tube and connected directly into the 50 ft hose. Now, we are using a 7 ft cannula. This swivel device has 2 male ends, so you will need a cannula with a female end. It's working fantastic and I highly recommend that you try it if you are experiencing this problem!

Definitely the best out there
For those looking for these handy little devices you know how expensive they can be for what you are getting. I found these by surfing one day and thought I would give them a try since they were inexpensive. These may be inexpensive compared to others but they are sturdily made and well worth the money and then some. I stepped on it a hundred times or so, tugged tubing when caught up, and my cat plays with it regularly with no damage whatsoever. The old one I had broke when my tubing got caught up on my concentrator and my son gave it a tug which caused the connector to break. I did buy a multi pack of these and believe they just may be a lifetime supply. Definitely would recommend these to any/everyone that uses connectors.

Oxygen tubing swivel connector -- Pro and Con
Pro: the order was received earlier than the estimated delivery date range.Con: It "swivels" ---- as long as you twist it by hand. The internal rotational resistance (a.k.a., friction) is too great to expect it to "swivel" when the oxygen hose twists. In other words, on its own it will NOT compensate for twists in a section of oxygen hose -- functioning more like a rigid "connector" than as a "swivel" connector.Caveat emptor! Let the buyer beware!!

Bought this for a relative who uses oxygen for use ...
Bought this for a relative who uses oxygen for use in the home when hooked up to the o2 machine itself. She told me it has saved much frustration with having to constantly untangle the hose when moving about the house. As she moves around it swivels where it would normally turn into a coiled mess by then end of the day. Moving about I'm told is much easier with this attachment on the link right before the cannula.
