## Description

RICH SOLAR 200 Watt 24 Volt 9BB Cell Monocrystalline Solar Panel High Efficiency Solar Module for RV Trailer Camper Marine Off Grid

Review: Ordered 10 panels and received all on time and in excellent condition despite the best efforts of the shippers. Of the group only 1 had a minor cosmetic flaw in the frame. Checked and got 45V open circuit on each one and connected all in series to verify good connections. Now I just have to get up on the roof and install...😓 Been running with 10 panels for 2Kw set up for 4 months now. The most I get is around 1900W, which is acceptable. They are in a series/parallel set up with a 250/85 controller (48VDC). Open ckt volts should top out at about 235, but will briefly(?) spike above 250V on occasion. Hopefully the controller can handle the issue. After all the work, still satisfied with performance.
Review: I went 48V with my DIY off grid system. I been running 4 X 12V 100W panels in series for 48V 100W. Found these panels and havent looked at a 12V panel since. I connect two of these in series and get 48V 200W and have seen them put out a steady 215W. My system I am running 4 racks of 12V 100W panels. That gives me 67V 400W at the charger. I added 6 of these Rich Solar 24V 200W panels and it kicked my charge rate on a bright sunny day to 1450W/hr. My daily average is running around 6kw now. I have 2 more panels to add to the system and I expect to see over 7K/day solar production. In my opinion these panels are great and I plan to buy more of them to add to my system. Edit 2 years later.... Reconfigured my system to 24V and 6 of these panels will give me @750 watts which is right at the %60 efficiency rating.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is possible to safely series connect 2x200w=400w (@90voc) into a 150v 40a scc to 2 parallel connected 12v 170a batteries and 2200w 12v inverter?**
A: Yes, of course. When you hook up 2 panels in series, the VOC is about 90V, your controller is 150v 40a, that is no problem. It will be a perfect solar system.

**Q: Is it better to have 1 200 w or 2 100w panels?**
A: It depends on a few factors. Is your charge controller an mppt type . Mppt loves extra voltage. As long as it can handle it. . Will your panels be behind a window or shaded or will they have full sun all day. If I have a 24v panel that outputs 5 amps and a 12v battery my mppt gives my battery 12amps. If I use instead a panel that uses 24v and 10a the amperage to the battery is 20a which is my charge controllers limit. I can do tests before I buy because I have a lab bench power supply btw. If say you have two 100w panels hooked up in parallel each putting out 5a it would be 10 amps total coming from the panel portion and you'll get
a little over 10 amps going to the battery. And if you do the two 100 watt panels in series you'll get
Bout 34v total going to the charge controller and 5a . But because it's a high voltage you'll be getting more amps going to the battery. My power supply is limited to the 31v but at the 31v and 5a houng to the charge controller.. the battery is getting 11 amps so if I could go higher it might be like 15a instead going to the battery. Higher voltage inputs is better so either do a single 24 high voltage panel or a couple of 12v in series 5a output panel is good. More is better lol. Also with higher voltage wires can be thinner and still be safe because they the wont heat up as much. Nothing wrong with buying what you can afford if you can onky afford a single 12v 5a pannel then get that and get another one later. If you can afford a single 200watt panel then do that. There is just alot of factors at play . If you have pwm solar charge controller then you cant do the 24 v panels I believe and must actually still to 12v also if the pwm is what you are using you are waiting lots of power. Best of luck!

**Q: Can I Parallel connect 6 of these 24v panels**
A: I don't see why not as long as your charge controller can handle the resulting peak voltage and current ( 1200W ). Make sure it can.

**Q: wha't the combination of your products including this 200w panel for use with EcoCharger 1300, to max out 65V, 10A?**
A: Looks ok, but check with EcoCharger.
