Q: After one use the trap would not set again?

I also had trouble with one of the four I bought. I turned it on it's side and tap it on the floor while trying to set the trap.

Q: D-con: mine new purchase wont lock. imagine my surpise when i see dozens others report same thing. why do you sell such a defective design ? no q.c.!

It will lock just pull it back and hold it in place forva few seconds just make sure you have a good grip on it and it should stay in place.

Q: Will it catch rats too?

I doubt it unless it is a very small young rat. The opening for the mice to crawl in is about 3.1-3.2cm or 1 1/8in at it's widest and highest on the opening. Great size for even a full grown mouse from what we've caught, but a full grown rat would probably be the size of the entire trap itself.

Q: Is this a mouse trap or a baby play mat?? Did you post the wrong picture or am I missing something?
