Now a few months into ownership the filter screen broke and they will not sell me another one! They want me to buy a completely new $90 unit to replace a part that probably costs 50 cents. Minos, you've got to be kidding me. I am not a happy camper :( ### ⭐⭐ Don’t get burned. Literally! *by G***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2018* Handle gets so hot that I almost scalded myself. When I contacted the manufacturer/seller, they advised that maybe the flame was too high and the handle was too close to the flame. Not the case. And then I made a surprising discovery recently: steam/water whistling out of a tiny pinhole at the top of the handle. I took a video but can’t post it through the app, for some reason. Anyway, it’s proof that the handle is hollow, and the boiling water from the reservoir can travel through it! No wonder the handle gets so hot. As long as you don’t accidentally get a second degree burn, this thing makes good coffee. But definitely a design flaw that needs to be addressed! I bought this model because my previous moka pot had a handle with spot welds and it came apart, likely from the repeated screwing and unscrewing when tight with coffee grinds. I liked the integrated design of the Minos, where the handle falling off will never be a risk. But perhaps that’s still better than a trip to the ER.
