A great alternative, but noticeably off
You may be in the same situation as me, wanting to dig up your old GameCube and play some classic games like the good old days. You have everything set up but your controllers are either: not working well/faulty after years of storage and wear and tear or you don't have a controller and don't want to shell out for the ridiculous pricing of the new GC controllers by nintendoThis controller works well as an affordable replacement for your controller and great value for the price too.Holding it in your hands it feels great, almost a perfect recreation of the original controllers, the ergonomics are all there, button placements are accurate, it even has rumble to boot! There are minor differences compared to the original though. The original controllers feel more solidly built and heavier, these ones feel like they're made with a weaker plastic and are considerably lighter. This is down to personal preference but I prefer the originals heavier feel as it seems more premium but for the price, you can't complain. The buttons are clickier and "stickier" they make a louder click than the original. This may be due to it being newly made and should come looser and smoother in time but currently it feels like I need to put more effort in my button presses. The L and R shoulder buttons are my biggest concern. I ordered the 2 pack and they both feel different compared to each other. One controllers shoulder buttons feel looser and less sensitive. The click is more pronounced and louder. The analogue capabilities of the shoulder buttons are there but nowhere near as sensitive or accurate as the original, I noticed this a lot when playing smash brothers, doing the light shield is a lot harder. The analogue sticks feel fine and have no major discrepancies as far as I can tell or feel. All in all, these make fantastic controller replacements, especially for more casual gameplay. While it does not compare to the original controller, these are controllers worthy for consideration if you are looking for a replacement when playing your GameCube.

One controller is defective, it scrolls down constantly. The other works just fine.

Great value for the price, but not top-tier
These aren't top-tier competitive-worthy controllers, but they're quite good for regular or casual play. I played a few games using both these controllers and a Nintendo original from 2002, and while the original is certainly much better in almost every way, these controllers are fantastic for the low price. The control stick and C-stick feel quite similar in terms of stiffness and springiness, but the deadzone in the centre of the Qumox controllers on both sticks is noticeably larger. That said, unlike other Gamecube controller copies I've used, once you get out of the deadzone, small and precise movements are still easy to make. Going back and forth between the Nintendo original and the Qumox controllers was a bit jarring because of the response difference, but after sticking with the Qumox controllers for 15+ minutes I got used to the feel and adapted accordingly. The D-pad isn't great, and if you press it a touch too hard it'll often register other directions too (e.g. pressing down will sometimes also input left or right). Personally this wasn't much of an issue, as the games I played don't use the D-pad very much (Pikmin switching in Pikmin 2, visor switching in Metroid Prime, menus in SSBM, etc.), but depending on what you play I can see this being a nuisance. The L and R buttons are similarly spongy but slightly looser than the original, in that they don't feel like the controller is holding on to them as tightly and they wobble a little side-to-side. There's also less of a click at the end of their travel than there is with a Nintendo original. The Z button is completely different, as if it's a small tactile switch internally. It feels much like the buttons on a Switch Joy Con, in that it has very little travel and a hard, noticeable click when you press it, in comparison to the smoother feel of the Gamecube original. I actually quite like the way the Qumox controllers' Z button feels, it's not better than the Gamecube original, just different. The ABXY buttons are harder than the original, with a more pronounced click and slightly more travel. For a competitive player I can see this being inferior to a Nintendo original, but for your average gamer like myself they'll do just fine. Mashing the A button to rapid-fire the Power Beam in Metroid Prime takes a little more effort than it does with a Nintendo original, but it's not a big deal. The Qumox controllers do have rumble, but it's smoother and less powerful than the Nintendo original. I haven't opened one up yet, but it feels like the rumble motor has a smaller and slightly more balanced weight on it than the original does. The cable is quite a bit shorter than the original's 2-metre (~6'7") cable, measuring at about 1.4 metres (~4'7"). It's also thinner and a little more "stiff" than the original, in that it's held its folded and bundled shape even after leaving it unwound entirely for some time. This will likely loosen up with use. Finally, the weight and feel. These Qumox controllers are noticeably lighter with cheaper-feeling plastic, but they're certainly a cut above other Gamecube controller copies or third-party options. In comparison, the Nintendo original feels smoother, heavier, and more solid. All in all, these are great controllers simply because of the price they are. Don't expect them to be like a Nintendo original, because they're not, but for the price you're paying, you get a perfectly serviceable controller that does exactly what it needs to do. I can't speak for the longevity of them as I've only had them for a day, but I'll update this review if and when anything on them breaks or stops working.
