GREAT BOOTS FOR GREAT PRICE!
The boots are great! The price is great! They are super comfortable! I’m on my feet all day and these boots offer great comfort and stability! Plus they look great! The more you wear them the better they Look! If you’re on a budget and can’t afford some $250 plus moc-toes these are a great alternative! The break in process was Rough I was thinking of returning them but after 2 days they were good to go and I love them and wear them as often as I can!I would recommend to size down either a half or a full size down as they come a bit big. I wear an insole for my back and it filled in the boot perfectly with just sizing down a half number.

Great entry level work boot!
I purchased these after seeing the Rose Anvil review and I could not be more satisfied. They are a great, affordable work boot! They were comfortable right out of the box, absolutely zero break in. I don't beat up boots as much as I did when I was younger and working in the trades, but they still get a lot of use. They seem to be holding up really well, including the soles. The only thing I dislike about these boots is that the tongue is padded. It makes it so I have to tie the boots when I put them on and then re-tie them a little while later to snug them up. It's fine, though.Buy these boots with confidence, but be mindful that you usually want to go a half size or size down. I usually wear a 10 or 10 1/2 in dress shoes, and 9 1/2 in these boots fit perfectly!Highly recommended, especially for the price!!!UPDATE: These boots are still going great after several months of service. The soles are holding up surprisingly well, showing almost no wear!

Really OK boots with some work
I really wanted to try these boots mostly out of curiosity. The price is right, and the company has a good reputation. I've had both Red Wing Heritage, and Thorogood mocs. I had to sell my Red Wings because they were absurdly heavy even for a heritage boot. And The Thorogood mocs I had in Black so they just never made it into the rotation that often. Comfort wise Red Wings are a draw with Thorogood if you have the patience to break in Red wings, but TG are better out the box. These GOLDEN FOX boots were A+. Literally zero break in time, and are super comfortable after a few months. For me personally I love the weight. I have MS and my left leg is partially paralyzed so weight is really an issue when it's hard to lift your barefoot. They almost wear like a sneaker, but don't take that the wrong way. They are a very sturdy boot. I am a size 10.5 in both RW and TG, but had to size down to a 10 with these. They run a full size big, This unlined Copper pair is supposed to be the lightest they offer, and it definitely feels that way to me. Another reason I pulled the trigger on these is they finally made an unlined version, BUT it only comes in the Copper color. If you want to resole a goodyear welted boot years later a lined boot is most likely going to be shredded on the inside with all the fabric/padding. So they are moving in the right direction by having unlined options. The original lined Golden Fox Moc have a pretty decent oil tanned leather. This Copper color looks painted on. It's just flat plasticy and unappealing in hand. So after a few weeks I decided to strip them with Renomat, and then doubled down with Saddle Soap. Once I got rid of that flat weird color, and moitsuized with some Lexol. They look waaaaay better. When you push, or scratch the leather you can now see it act like full grain leather. I am happy with the way they look now, and I think they will take on a nice natural patina opposed to the waxy Copper color. The crepe sole has more traction than both the Red Wings, and Thorogood. They call it Rubberlon. As far as sole durability I can't say yet because it's only been a few months. The uppers will last years. The only other downside besides the color I can think of is they have a synthetic welt. Some sort of plastic that could maybe crack, and make re-soling more expensive if it has to be replaced with something natural. Overall now that the uppers are looking better I'd be willing to pay for a resole for the same price as a new pair. Re-use recycle, and all that. If they make more unlined options I'll pick them up for sure. I might go with their Bondocker next because it's getting great reviews. You just can't beat this boot for this price. I highly recommend!

Great boot for the price
I'll start off by saying that I'm a Thorogood wearer mostly. I have 2 pairs of the same style that are 10yrs old. I've even went as far as to getting both "restored." I was looking for a new pair of boots and since I'm not at a VMC pushing chips all day, I didn't want to spend double the price of these for a new pair. The first day these destroyed my feet. The remedy was to sinch them very tight. The next day was much better and by the 3rd they were ready to roll. These are very comfortable boots. I put some dr inserts in them and shoe greased them. They are my dailys now. I mean all day everyday. Grab some for yourself. The tongue does want to fall to the side so get the lace loop imo.

Get the boots!
I wanted to wait a cpl weeks before making a review. These boots are worth every penny. I spend 12 hr days on my feet on concrete in a manufacturing warehouse. These boots were super easy to break in and are the most comfortable I’ve ever worked in. After 12 hrs of course I’m a little sore but nothing like before. I’m a female who wears a 7-7 1/2 in women’s and got the men’s 5.5, there’s enough room for me to wear thicker socks when it’s cold, but not so lose that I can’t wear regular socks when needed. They definitely hold up to the rigorous work I put them through 5-6 days a week. And I don’t dread putting them on for my next shift. I had nvr heard of this brand before and took a chance based on reviews. They have not disappointed!! The only drawback I’ve had was the laces come undone frequently, so I just double knot them. So it’s not even an issue. I am beyond happy w this purchase.

Good for the money
I bought the black and white. One size smaller than my shoe size and they fit perfect. I've been using them for 2 months now and they're holding up well for general work use. I wear them out fishing as well. All around good boot, quite comfortable. I'll update this if they fall apart prematurely.

Just as promised
These boots deliver fully on their promise. Tough and comfortable and kind of beautiful, in that stylistic throw down way of work boots as fashion. I love 'em. size down by .5.

Great Quality but a heavy boot
These are really great quality boots. I got a size 12 and they fit large. I've waited to long to return them and so I'm probably going to try and sell for size 11 or 11.5.The boots are heavy and would be hot in summer I imagine. I'd like to wear them more in winter but I think salt and slush will wreak havoc on them. May just stick to spring and fall, which is a shame given the price of them. One other thing. These do not fit under jeans if you wear slim jeans. They are very chunky.Very solid construction however.
