Are these good for noise cancellation?

For noise cancellation these headphones are great for background noise cancellation. I use them on my electronic and acoustic drum kits they are very good. I think they are much better than my AKG headphones for noise cancellation.

Are these headphones loud, when you crank them up?

I use them on my Roland TD12, and I don't have the module volume on full. They are plenty loud, and I do heavy rock drums.
