Good for the money, what did you expect?
I'm purchasing my 2nd set of these. Other users reviewed saying the line is bad, and they're right, it's not the best. We've used these about a dozen times since I bought them and we've pulled far more crab with these than with my baskets or my pot. I'll be changing the line out with paracord, but ultimately it's a weight with a string, people act like they're buying diamonds. They caught me far more crab than what I paid for them. A+

Bunk
To small for a good size piece of Bunk bate (AKA blue fish) Crabs need something to hold on too. In addition if they say that chickens works better, let me just say that millions of years say "Crabs like fish Better."

Great little product!
As a kid, I never knew these existed... and maybe they didn't back then. However, as an adult, they make crabbing by hand so much easier! From placing the chicken breast or leg on to weighing it down a little, the line, weight and little hooky thingy work great! My youngest son and I have had a blast. :)

Cheap string, knot untied.
Save your money. Cheap string poorly tied on. After second pull up, lost both of them that I purchased. Wound up making our own out of leftover heavy fishing weights and large hooks, with thick fishing line. Our homemade ones lasted the rest of the day!

Catches more crabs than a line without weight
Used this for hand lining from a pier with chicken necks. We had several other lines without weights on the end and just one of these with the weight. We caught more crabs on this line than any of the others. It keeps the bait on the bottom, where the crabs are. It also makes it easy to attach the chicken neck. Plan to buy more.

You could do better to make your own.
I did not care for these at all. You could make your own Crab rig for a lot less.

Bottom line. they keep the bait on the bottom, where the crabs are!
I like these a lot! The clip makes it much easier to get bait on and off. The string is a bit sub standard, but we replace our strings often anyway so not much of a deal breaker there. These keep the bait on the bottom, and that's where the crabs are. Oddly enough, I've even caught catfish with these.

Need to use your own line.
Bought two and the line ripped after an hour of use on both luckily I only lost the weight on one.
