Inconsistent functionality
Good powerful flash. It operated like a Canon 600rt. This flash has it all and more than the Canon 600rt. However, it would overheat after an hour of use. Did not stay connected to the Orlit 611c wireless transmitter consistently. Would be good for casual use. Mine may have been a defective copy. Purchased another Adorama house brand flash and transmitter, which work consistently and flawlessly.

I cannot believe the quality of this speedlite is that bad: -( I have to use Pocketwizard Plus X ...
Junk! It doesn't work consistently with Canon 5D Mark IV as slave or on camera. The switch to open the door to replace batteries has broken off after few used. I cannot believe the quality of this speedlite is that bad :-( I have to use Pocketwizard Plus X to trigger this speedlite as rim light for portrait sessions in order to get it fire off as expected

and user friendly with great instructions.
I just received this flash a few days ago and so far this is a outstanding speedlite. I will adjust my review if I experience any future problems but for the price this flash competes with not only 3rd party speedlite but Canon speedlites as well. Quick recharge times, powerful flash, and user friendly with great instructions.

You Get What You Pay For: Orlit RT-600C
I purchased this unit through Adorama. Since they've decided to suppress my one-star rating on their website, I've decided to post it here instead. I think it's very telling when a company deletes and refuses to publish unfavorable ratings of the products they manufacture on their website. In addition to the review that I submitted, there was another one star review that has suddenly vanished. When it comes to electronics I typically adhere to the adage that "you get what you pay for." Given the success and reliability of Adorama's other proprietary equipment, I decided to give the Orlit RT-600 a go. I was only able to get about 10 or 15 flashes out of this speedlite before it stopped firing altogether. I thought perhaps the batteries I was using were too old, and didn't retain enough charge. Not the case at all; I switched out the batteries for brand new ones, but with no success. I suspect that either the bulb was blown, or there was an issue with the capacitor since the unit's screen still worked. It might be the case that I received a dud, but I guess I'll find out whenever I receive the replacement unit from Adorama.Update 04/25/2017:I finally received my replacement from Adorama today, and the second unit doesn't work either. This time, the problems began immediately after I turned the unit on. The flash's zoom went haywire, and an error / warning message would flash on the screen and then disappear. When that warning finally stopped flashing, the warning just remained on the screen. Moreover, the test flash button doesn't work, and I wasn't able to set the flash to radio slave while in manual mode despite the fact that I was able to do it on the previous unit.
