Was back from a recent trip to Italy and craving Pici pasta. Couldn’t find any locally so ordered this sampler on Amazon that included Pici. Was delicious and now exploring the other types.

This squid ink pasta arrived in a plastic bag, like a label was just slapped on the bag. Luckily the pastas remained intact.You cook this pasta the same way you cook regular pasta, in boiled water. There weren't any noticeable differences in preparing the pasta. We cooked the rotini and served with a tomato based meat sauce. If I were blindfolded and eating it, I would have no idea it was squid ink pasta!The visual difference and price difference of this pasta makes it not an everyday meal. They recommend using those pasta with seafood so I'll try that I'm the future with the linguine noodles. The black noodles might make a great contrast with a white sauce like an alfredo sauce too.

Taste very good!

This black squid ink pasta is yummy and great with shrimp, scallops, and such.
